Banking mainly up to date, one more account to check but I need to fire up IE to do that for some reason.
Enjoying a lovely bowl of homemade soup, I think I'll add try out some different soup recipes to my things for this year tied into a new diet I want to try, health rather than weight loss.
Going to have a quick look for a bargain diary and possibly calendar next. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Note to self: If you think you didn't put the full 340ml of water in the breadmaker at the start, it's no use adding another 70ml during the first kneading part of the programme. It makes a heck of a mess.Better is good enough.0

Best intentions have been scuppered, but in a nice way - friends phoning to catch up, which has made me feel loved! Have decided to declutter the top of the stairs instead of a cupboard, as it needs doing more, am about to start on that.
Re CBT - I struggled for years to 'teach myself' CBT, but went on a LIFT course recently (both online and to a group) which was a huge help to me. I realised I was doing it all wrong, trying to change my way of thinking, when what I needed to do was change my way of doing! I still slip up, but I don't beat myself up quite so much now. The people 'teaching' the course were so lovely and I'd definitely go again for a 'booster' session when I need.
Right, off for a HH Declutter. Catch you all later!:A FLY FIRST, KNIT LATER :A0 -

Write a New Toots List (this is a list of all the jobs you want to get done from decorate a room, hang a picture etc) - burn or bin your old one (you can have a sneaky compare if you like). Now go through and put the month in which you are going to do the tasks next to them. We tend to over estimate how much we will achieve in the short term and under estimate what we can achieve in the longer term.0 -

Our daughter suffers with severe depression and OCD. I started to talk to people about it and I'm amazed at the number of people who then say they suffer as well and what a relief it is to be able to talk about their experiences without feeling judged.
Why there should be such a stigma about mental illness I don't know. It's totally illogical but the only way I can see to change things is to talk about it.
OCD can be controlled but it's quite a long journey. Reading through the responses on here there's a lot of support. Please let us help if we can and let us know how you get on0 -
Happy New Year everyone
I hope it is clean, clutter free and full of fun roll on 2014 I feel prepared.
We have had a lovely Chicken dinner.
Well AF has finally bogged off so I have cleaned the kitchen, fridge/freezer, WUDUPA, cleaned microwave, scrubbed the oven grill and hob, cleaned the front and draw of the washing machine, rubbed over appliances and sugar/tea/bread tins, the front of the cupboard doors and cleaned the tiles.
I just need to hooved up and mop and it will be done.
I am having a cuppa and then gonna have a good look at the lists to see what I feel like doing. Also have a read of the thread and see what I have missed0 -
Hello everyone - Happy New Year!
Not done much today apart from declutter a few hours of TV and film catch-up!!! Waiting for DH to go back to work for more than a day and then it will be onwards and upwards!!! Trees and decs down first - I have permission :T- then it is washing drying and ironing catchup for the rest of Thursday and blitz whole house on Friday. We're not in too much of a mess as did so well before Xmas. Also very happy that I have sorted end of December finances.
Looking forward to a good 2014. Thanks all for your support. xxJuly 16 £95/£200

Hi and Happy New Year to everyone.
GUAG went partying for most of yesterday so the ironing challenge failed but it came back in time to go to to bed early and to sleep, but was woken up by fireworks.
Been doing odds and ends here and there today - not dot-to-dotting exactly, but just little bits. Hope to do better tomorrow pm as I'm at work from 10.00 am-12.00 noon.
Hope everyone has all their wishes granted in 2014.

Hello flyladies :hello:
I'm a long-time lurker but love reading what you're all up to... I'd like to come out of the shadows and join in please?
I work f/t and there's me, OH and DD8, DS7, oh and the 4 chickens... but they live outside!! I seem to live in a persistent state of catch-up and would love to make 2014 the year I finally get on top of things.
I completed the empty basket challenge yesterday so chuffed with a good start. Looking forward to flying through the year ahead. :T

Not done anything at all today! Managed to stay in bed until 3:30 which should mean I'll survive the night no bother.
DH has just presented me with tea all from the the freezer and he's actually crossed it off the list, Yay!
