What a lovely idea! I'm going to steal itmy lo don't want the tree down yet either but I may stash something for them - we have some mini stockings hung on the tree which could work. Maybe I'll say it was from the elves :T

Kitchen tidied after cooking, though. Lots of toys hanging around. Some clothes put away.

Good evening
Happy New Year!! I haven't done bad today.
I took the dog out in the wind & rain this morning, leaving DH with instructions to take down the decs. He wanted us both to walk the dog, then both do the decs. I said no - for a few reasons. I have been very irritable, so wanted to blow away the cobwebs (haven't been out in 2 days other than a brief trip to Ald! on Monday), he takes the dog every day so I think it was my turn and also why both do things & take twice the time!! It could also be the first day in a while that DH hasn't had a soaking!!
When I got home (with a very wet dog!), the decs were down & in the loftDS said that it makes everything look 'clean'. That was the idea!! DH was cleaning the bathroom & BR.
I have also finished with my upholstery project (6 dining chairs now covered in wipe-clean vinyl instead of stained cream calico!!). I have also cleared the hotspot next to my chair, and done some laminating (with DS's help) from my frog list. I am going to try & sort through the pile of receipts from my hotspot, and also my purse/bag & bin what's not needed & file what is needed.
Ok - receipt sorting while watching Sherlock...0 -

Write a New Toots List (this is a list of all the jobs you want to get done from decorate a room, hang a picture etc) - burn or bin your old one (you can have a sneaky compare if you like). Now go through and put the month in which you are going to do the tasks next to them. We tend to over estimate how much we will achieve in the short term and under estimate what we can achieve in the longer term.
Been finalising stuff for holiday for the young Skints....EXMiL is coming to house sit to stop Burglar Bill from paying me a visit.
Had a surprise Skyp£ from my Aunt in America....always nice to hear from DoD's side of the family, esp when it gives me more stuff for the family tree.
Have to go to Specs@vers again tomorrow, DD3 has managed to break her glasses, at least it isn't DS again :rotfl: I swear I will be allocated my own shop assistant at this rate.
Time to get in some R&R on my family tree, before I reduce my sub back to nothing for a few months :money:
Back tomorrow. The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Hi everyone haven't had a chance to keep up with thread but have done loads of flying today.
All Christmas d!cor down and put in attic along with a few other things that needed to go up. Kitchen got a good clean and I've kept it tidy after lunch and dinner. Changed a few things in the boys bedroom to make room for their farms while boys have tidied their room.
DS3 now has my cold, poor wee pet dosed. Hopefully he'll be over it by the time he goes back to school.
Ozzy went to the vet yesterday and he's now on a string of meds, he's back in again on Friday for a check up and should finish meds on sunday. Also finally got him insured, should really have done it ages ago.
Right time for bed, plan is another busy day flying tomorrom.
Grrrr smilies aren't working, laptop is on the way out I think.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -

Evening,
It took an age to get Tiny to bed today, she is currently in my bed and doubt I will be able to move her before getting in. On the plus side I was able to settle her in my bed and get back out, normally I'd just tuck in for the night.
I've finished Monday, more than I have done in a long time. Will continue for now. I really need to get back into a routine and be up pre 10am, else the school run won't happen.
Does anyone have any hair loss remedies, I know I popped a sprog recently but it really is thinning on the top, even OH noticed.
Welcome to the even more newbies and no longer lurkers.0 -

I'm fairly sure I did report that I had achieved this. But the laundry basket's full again - not least because DS 'borrowed' DDs bed! Anyway; I did it!
Had the family round - turkey crown and roasted everything fopllowed by Mary Berry's chocolate mousse and HM chocolate eclairs which were delicios.
I have also finally assemble the IKEA candelabra which was a freebie a few years back - because we had a powercut - and had to work it out by torchlight.:p:cool::o:T:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: We were 'out' for about an hour; I think.
Managed though.
I am glad because I bought a proper gas lighter last week; for lighting tea lights. Boy has it had some use. DS 'helpfully' prodded 2 candles into J2O bottles despite my offer of an empty Chablis bottle.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
We have played Pass The Bomb, Payday and 'guess the song and the artist' (which I am very very good at if they are songs from my youth).
Pass the bomb is (IMO) brilliant!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
I haven't slept very well, am shattered and AF has arrived but no chance of a lie-in as it's DD's birthday. She's opened her presents now so has disappeared into her own bedroom but left all the wrapping on my bed. Bin day today which I hope DH has put out before he's gone to work. Not sure what the plan is today yet. I got DD the wrong blazers so I don't know whether she's keeping them or whether she wants to go and see if she can change them. She's got a friend coming over later and then they're going bowling tonight. I've still got loads to do though before I go back to work on Monday.
Anyway, have a good day all
Hugs
