  • 2 kids up so far, I've up since 6am catching up on the soaps. DS3 spent most of the night coughing so i'll slap vicks on his feet tonight to see if it makes a difference.

Gonna go and grab a coffee, get kids fed and then start some flying.

Happy Birthday to your DD Juliejim, hope she has a fab day.
FizzWhizz hope all goes well today for DN1.

    Posivibes for your DN1 Fizz.

I know another Lurker surfaced, but I can't remember who - anyway,

All doors and windows not sealed shut for the winter flung open to get some air into the place at last. 'Twas a tad fuggy.

The rest of the kitchen floor is getting done, the stairs are getting a fair bit of attention, one process on each run at a time. It's much too hard otherwise. Two loads out on the sundeck, one more about to go in the WM and I'm clearing all the hand washing. (No need for ironing in this house during the winter, other than OH's shirts, and he does those himself.) I've just realised the window this computer is under is absolutely filthy, so I will clamber over my desk to clean it. I also noticed last night that the window sill behind the tree is (and there is no other word for this) minging, so that needs attention urgently.

It's going to be a long day, of continuous flying because OH is due back tomorrow, and we have having 12 to dinner on Saturday to celebrate his buffday. During the last 10 minutes of Twelfth Night (his actual birthday) Christmas gets destroyed in this house, so nothing can be touched before then. This year we've moved it forward by two days - in other words, I've roped in a load of 'volunteers.' :rotfl:
    Better is good enough.

I'm pretty miffed off today. Plans for new year didn't happen so I'm annoyed about that.
The ex husband is due in court today and I had a policeman come round yesterday evening to get a statement for my I feel I need screens if/when I have to go in!! Der, he's a nutter who beat me and threatened to kill me!! Isn't that explanation enough??!!:mad:
The policeman also asked me about when I was going in. I haven't actually had a letter or call saying anything about it!! He said he'd email them for me, bit late now isn't it?!
So of course cos of all this I didn't sleep.
I'm currently on my second attempt at making some sort of cake for my best friend's birthday which is today. Her husband asked me to do it but it's not an easy task when she is dairy, gluten, wheat, yeast and fructose intolerant!!
I've resulted to a "free from" sponge mix :o which won't cook! It says 20-25 mins and has been in 35 so far
If anyone has a fool-proof recipe for this sort of cake I would be so grateful.
DD1 is at first paying day at her work placement. The nursery asked the college if she could finish her work placement days with them instead of her starting a new one and they're going to pay her for them. When she finishes her course she'll be with them full time :D proud mummy :D
DD2's (new) boyfriend is coming over in about half hour. It's the first time she's had a boyfriend to the house so she spent yesterday tidying her room which is a bonus.
I've S&S the bathroom and changed the cat litter and had a quick tidy round the front room, he can takes us as he finds us now.
The decorations WILL be taken down and put back in the attic when DD1 get's home. DD2 was supposed to help but I'd forgot the BF was coming.
I'm now going to have a coffee and do some budget paperwork :(

so far ive put a heat wrap on my back, put the pots in soak, taken down the fairy lights and big snowman from our bedroom window sorted out the 'best' cutlery ready to go back in its box.
DS1 has popped home from work - there wasnt much to do so they told them all to have 1/2 a day so hes taking his guitar in see how much a repair will cost. And the moral of that story is when your sister pays for 1/2 of an expensive guitar for your christmas and birthday pressie ALWAYS use a stand if you dont want it to fall over and break its neck before you even reach your birthday!!!!

must go and start dinner then get my finger out later and do some some, cos it wont do itself and we have free tickets to see that nelson mandela film tonight.

    Afternoon,

Been to see a friend for lunch, she's moved up to Birmingham so really missing her being close. Then had to race back for my delivery and convince the driver to let me have it even though it had been missed. We then went back out in the new, much easier to drive buggy to the pharmacy and to get new school shoes. Will be flying while playing a board game with DD1, did loads last night so am nicely caught up.

Back up photos from phone/laptop etc, enjoy looking over some

Write a New Toots List (this is a list of all the jobs you want to get done from decorate a room, hang a picture etc) - burn or bin your old one (you can have a sneaky compare if you like). Now go through and put the month in which you are going to do the tasks next to them. We tend to over estimate how much we will achieve in the short term and under estimate what we can achieve in the longer term.

Thursday - children's rooms, spare rooms or any bedroom

    Only got 15 minutes...
[STRIKE]Tidy up and find a home for all those things
    sitting about
    [/STRIKE]

    Hoover
    30 minutes to spare....
[STRIKE]Change a bed or two - should be a dry day for most
    but one day only
    [/STRIKE]

    [STRIKE]Tidy the bookshelves or floorobe[/STRIKE]
    Got an hour....
[STRIKE]Pull everything out from under the bed an hoover
    under there
    [/STRIKE]

    Wipe the window ledges
    Shine a mirror or window
    Extras
[STRIKE]Whilst packing away decorations put any you don't
want in a bag and label for charity for when you get them down next year
    [/STRIKE]

Make sure book bags, PE kits, your work stuff is all ready for next week
