:rotfl::rotfl:My mind went blank as to how to spell butty. Every combination I typed looked wrong :o:rotfl::rotfl:

Just destroying boxes for the recycling bin. I'm really shifting through things today. No idea what's got into me :rotfl:

Going to do a delete whats already done, strike through what I've done since I last posted update of my list. I think I just need to make DDs bed and mop the bathroom floor then upstairs is done...I think

    Livingroom:
    Take down Cards
Wash Christmas linens and put away when bone dry
    Dust
    Vacuum

Kitchen (I have a small kitchen, so it sounds more work than it actually is ;))
    Wash up
Clear off tops of cupboards and put DDs goody tins up there.
    Tidy food cupboard/shelves up.
    Wash cupboard fronts/shelves/WM/TD/kickboards
    Wash worktops
    Clean out fridge
Clean window (inside only - chucking it down here)
    Wash floor mats
    Vacuum
    Mop

    DD Bedroom
Change bed - stripped and currently in washer, will put the same stuff back on later ;)
    [STRIKE]Vacuum[/STRIKE]

    My Bedroom
    [STRIKE]Remake bed[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Vacuum[/STRIKE]

    Bathroom
    [STRIKE]Wash shelves[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean up shower rail[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Clean sink/bath/toilet[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Chuck toilet brush (I get a new one every new year)[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Vacuum[/STRIKE]
    Mop
Post bath after all cleaning done: S&S bath/sink, clean towels/mat

    Hall/stairs/landing
Vacuum - halfway down the stairs, will do the rest when I vacuum downstairs
    Clean brass on front door
    Clean front door

    General:
    Shredding
Laundry: Dark, light, towels, cleaning cloths, kitchen mats
    Ironing
    Eat properly!
Update finances - money transfer to where it should be. Will update accounts file when I have my laptop out
Pay work account (check money to pay other bills first)

I'm getting there. Downstairs really isn't that bad now I've shifted the majority of the Christmas stuff, and where DDs tree is I've already cleaned before I put it back there before :D

Off to put this rubbish out, then swap washing over and do the dishes

ZCC thanks, hope your little doggie was/is ok. Thats interesting about the tags, we were going for a metal one, but would have had her name on the front and contact details on the back, but we wont now, just the latter and surname x

GI healing vibes for your friend. What terrible news over the holiday season.

I've made more progress and can cross a few more tasks off the list -
New Year's Eve - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Only got 15 minutes...
Wipe the table and work surfaces put everything away that shouldn't be thereDONE
Descale kettle, iron, taps etc DONE
    30 minutes to spare....
    Sweep/mop/hoover floors
    DONE
Wipe kickboards or legs of cupboards and tables DONE
    30 minutes to spare....
Wash or exchange washing up brush, teatowels, cloths, dusters DONE
    Declutter one cupboard
Dust any furniture in the dining Room
    DONE

    Extras
Enjoy time with family/friends or some me time enjoying your own company
Are any thank you notes/phone calls still outstanding
    OOOPS YES

Ive also wiped down all the kitchen cupboard doors, drawer fronts, shelves and trim.
Descaled the bathroom showerhead (using the descaler and water from the kettle and then put the rest down the loos as they always seem to grow a ring of scale just above the water line.
Been to Mr T's shop (yuck, not my idea of fun)

I've just sat down for a minute with a cuppa and then I have a handful of things to iron so my washing and ironing baskets will be empty.

We shall have an early supper and then we have some of our neighbours coming for nibbles and a glass so we can welcome 2014 together.

Tomorrow looks like a wet day here so no New Day's walk for us. Hope the list will be quite gentle.

Thanks embb, my boy was fine - we were both so very lucky. He's fine with fireworks too (just as well as I pretty much live on a tank training ground with mortars being fired all hours!) but wishing all of those with pets a safe and happy evening.

Well, aside from ironing the duvet and vacuuming the bedroom, I'm pretty much all done. Am going to do my usual on NYE - bath, bed early with a good book, wake up at dawn and go for a walk! Weird, I know, but I like to start as I mean to go on - sober, awake and tidy, instead of hungover, asleep and a complete mess! I might pop by a little later, but just in case, Happy New Year _party_ to one and all, be kind to yourselves, you are all worth it. xxx

I was going to order in but when I looked at the online menus I wasn't inspired so I think I'll make myself an omelette :money: DD doesn't like them and I am really trying not to have take-away while she is away ;)

I'm sorry about your friend GI. Hugs for you and for her, to go with the healing vibes.

Surprised myself hugely by actually wanting to fly today, and enjoyed doing so. This may be a first. Half the kitchen floor was swept and washed, one mini-load on, another waiting to go in, massive sort and tidy in my office, kitchen, dining room and cupboard under the front steps, food things dealt with, recycling of [STRIKE]useful stuff[/STRIKE] carp started in the attic.
    Better is good enough.
