I've just discovered this challenge, and I'd like to give it a go.
I'm a great one for doing lists, and usually manage to work my way through it.Sometimes it's a bit vague ie clean flat, which is a big task and I should break it down more.
Anyway, for this coming week I would like to start with:
-recheck April budget, just to confirm that it's do-able.
-avoid unnecessary spends ie 'wants' spends.I've been very lax during March and had to do a lot of creative juggling of my budget to cover the spends. So,for April,I'm planning on having no 'wants' spends on the cc at all, just to prove to myself that I can do it!
-tidy sitting room table (there are piles and piles of paperwork)
-weeding of vegetable plot
-clean windows
-defrost fridge/freezer
-tidy bookcase fronts from clutter
-take decluttered books to charity shop
-clean kitchen and bathroom floors
-do my stretches every day
-go swimming every day if possible
-bedtime no later than 10.30 pm.
I think that's enough to start off with.I'll try and work my way through the thread.
I should mention that I'm off sick longterm (it's complicated),so have a lot of free time.
Catch you all later for an update!0 -
Hello, this week (as does marmiterulesok) -
(1) I have a living room table to sort out. This includes lots of seeds to check for when to sow, bits of bubblewrap pieces from another job last week and a list of things to watch/listen too.
(2) Food stock - sort out perishables/keep using up existing food but also consider next months grocery item ideas.
Thanks for your message (to all) EverTheOptimist; having a better day myself. Also, bess1234, regarding the "technical" list, "food for free" and also being creative seems like fun/interesting. The subject of simplicity; need to feel more focussed on other stuff than that takes away my time in a bad way.0 -

Oops,I think that I've been a bit too ambitious....
I have cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floors (I use a bucket and mop with warm water,a drop of washing up liquid and some bleach).I've got the hoover out, hemmed a curtain and gently cleaned an electric socket that was manky (don't worry-I unscrewed it from the wall)...Now I plan to do some stretches, then weeding, then swimming.0 -

Hi everyone
Almost completed list this week. Most pleased with getting the bathroom painted whilst little one slept.
Next few weeks will be more difficult as hubby is off and I completely lose my mojo when he's home.
But we do have a list of things to finish around the house that we will be doing together.
Hang photos in bathroom
Hang photo frame in bedroom
Hang name hanger on little ones door
Fix en suite shower
Finishing clearing out conservatory
Buy playmat for conservatory for little one.
Paint stairs woodwork and landing in prep for carpet fitting
Continue to organise photos
Tidy bedside cabinet drawer
File paperwork
This list will go over he next few weeks. But hope to have all here (maybe not photos) completed by end of Easter hols.SPC 18 Target £200 /0
