    Progress,progress.

Headboard is put together and in use (it's not actually attached to the bed).

One wardrobe has been sorted.Waiting till he's in a good mood.

Bedroom 2 is painted and holes repaired -more work needed but DS3's friend is using it (come to fix attic stairs).

Kitchen and bathroom have been cleaned.

Thrown out 3 large bags of broken (non-recyclable)and beyond further repair items (gathered slowly over a period of weeks).

Lots of gardening. Potatoes and onions in bags, shrubs in garden/pots.44 lots of seeds (in 3 batches) set off + courgettes in small pots and 2 lots of pea shoots

Still lots more to do - Mr builder brought me enough 2nd hand laminate flooring today for 2 rooms (just have to separate, measure and decide where they are going -and lay it,of course).

Sleeping pattern hit and miss. Couple of good nights, some dreadful.

Not sure about this week. Stairs need to be finished (but mainly DS3's friend). He has said he will help with other things while he is here (but still
don't know how much he needs to be paid). Very physical weekend,so need a couple of easy days.

Will commit to continued self-care and general tidying -attack the grot spots. If I come up with anything more definite will re-post ina couple of days.

Good luck folks -remember one drawer at a time.

  • Hello everyone.

I still can't commit to anything specific at the moment, so I'm using the same list as last week. I am feeling a bit more on top of things so, fingers crossed, next week I'll be able to get back on track a bit more.

    So this week

    declutter one thing a day
clear some paper (anything - it doesn't matter what) everyday
send dd info for council tax and water
the rest of the time - sort out work (again, anything - it doesn't matter what, just something, anything to make a dent in it)

    Have a good week all.

  • Morning everyone

I wasn't going to post this week as hubby is off and I'm not likely to get a lot done however after thinking about it, if I don't post I'm unlikely to do anything at all. :D

    So W/C 10th Mar

    Meal plan
    Sort out baba's clothes
Declutter my wardrobe, however this won't leave me much to wear... :D
Sit up programme (10/20 every other day)
Add more photos to hard drive
Order photos for the numerous frames I have sitting around the house
Arrange some days to go into work before going back in May and book some leave

These are things that I can do without impacting too much on quality family time. So will see how I go.

house of sickness meant quite an indulgent lethargic week last week. Nice when it's needed. And turns out the world didn't end. Just got a bit dirtier :rotfl:

What are the consequences of not tidying the drawers? Can they wait? You could just take them off the list? How good would that feel !

    So:
Gloss them skirting boards as carpet is bought and paid for, but gloss needs to harden for two weeks before fitting. Honestly, my first fitted carpet I've been waiting all my life for, and had to repaint the bedroom, it's been that long in coming, and I can't even get the gloss on!

    Everything else can wait :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: The only consequences of taking them off the list is I cant shut them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:But was thinking maybe I could scoop the top stuff out of them and dump that in another draw that isn't so full :rotfl:Defeating the object but at least they would be off the bl**dy list :D

    1) (a) Got this done and looks much better. Quite a lot of edible free plants doing well.
    (b) Completed.
    (c) Checked these; some a little early to sow but some to start indoors.
    (2) Kept this room tidier but decluttering it is really a long term task.
    (3) (a) Used up as much as possible.
    (b) Weekly menu did cover these areas.
    (4) Really bad. Maybe just one day slightly better.
