Hello,
I have tried to post over the weekend but well found it difficult as been feeling a little weird and kept typing posts out and deleting them.
I did a post yesterday and it's disappeared which is highly annoying!
So Saturday and Sunday were spend days (planned) yesterday was NSD until after my dr visit she upped my AD dose and I had to get more tablets, and then today I had to get petrol as the car was below the read :-(
I've proper failed on the NSD this month and clearly need to go through next month with a fine tooth comb so that I don't get caught out! I think I will manage another 3 this week then I get paid on Friday.
Have been active every day so I'm pretty happy with that and we still have £20 in the shopping kitty so that's good.
Tomorrow I plan to sort out these insurances as we are paying way too much also hubby took out a lifestyle protection plan which I don't think we need, we are paying £124 in total for 4 different insurances, DH hasn't bothered doing anything with them so it's up to me to sort, the trouble is he is the main name on the account so needs to call them up to give me authority! Frustrating!
I would love to give up the sky but it's a big fat no. In fact he would probably leave me if I did.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Good evening everybody.... yes as someone pointed out thank goodness we are on the home straight. I am officially out of food money having not planned properly. I now have a few pennies in my paypal account with another 12 items added on Fleabay on Sunday and 10 of them have watchers, with 2 having bids already! Fingers crossed eh..?
So a house was offered to me yesterday at £450 a month ( too much ) and another zome out of London adding £15.50 to my travel. I told him this was too much and he called today and offered £350 (:T) with him and his girlfriend. Garage for the bike, near a forest which makes it a great place for walks, Dorothy is welcome, they know it's only for 10 months, all bills included, SKY TV and fast internet although am not sure if there is a TV in my room though only incase I want to hide....however I am yet to find out how close to a tube station it is although there is also a railway line and buses... I am not giving up my search just yet though and have messaged another person but am going to see this guy on Sunday....Whoop!
Picking up the bike tomorrow and have figured in a new chain (£70) and changing sprockets to get the most important things done now.... can't wait to put a face to the attractive South African accent of this new mechanic...:rotfl:Oh and Siouxsie Geordie Boy was a no show again as per usual...:p.“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Been a little bit MIA the last week or so.
Had a week off and relaxed and went to visit the OH.
Had a nightmare getting there. Due to rail works I decided to do a different route to the main station, using underground rather than train, having already checked out that the underground station had a 24hr car park. Got to the underground station and the car park was closed. It was full up.
Had to hot foot it (in the car) to the normal train station. Then had to pay out four times the travel cost of the underground. Got to the main station with two minutes to spare and the train had already left. The ticket that I had bought online was for that train only. Queue me having to pay £54. So that was £75 odd that I hadn't budgetted for.
Currently on 12 SFD's. I could have got another one whilst I was away but I went for a wander around. What I spent wasn't frivalous but it could have waited.
Updated my spreadsheet today. Still under budget and got enough left to last me till the 31st. Don't actually need anything else apart from maybe some basic lemonade, but I can do without.
Checked my bank account and looks like me paying money off my Credit Card, well the second lot, may have been a little bit too risky. Currently gone a little overdrawn. Normally I would transfer some money from my savings but, I don't think anything else is due out now before Friday (payday) so I am going to swallow the cost. I don't think there is a cost actually because it is only a minimal trip into the overdraft.Feb NST #4

Sorry to here about the results of your sister in laws scan, Calling. Hang in there... and just enjoy the time you have with her... When stuff like this happens - we can never imagine how we are going to cope... but strength wells up from somewhere and we do... If you need to let off steam or are in need of a virtual hug... away from family or people that know you - there's always this place... Hugs!
Feeling the pinch and wondering how I am going to stay sane and stuff... Admittedly my budget went a little t*ts up this month, though hanging in there with a whole £5 to spend lol... Think I need to make more use of Orange Wednesdays... so I feel like I'm getting a night out... maybe try and make friends at the gym I go to... It's weird - since my debt expenditure went up and I have less free cash - it's like I've had less energy or inclination to socialise - and am not sure that's good for me...
Anyway, SFD = 13
Have a good one folks x

Hello Guys and Dolls
14 Sfds
I have filled out my Passport renewal forms and I am now trying to work out where the least painful photo booth is located in my local area. I seriously find the whole photo booth experience traumatising, I really do not like having my photograph taken! And worst still, you are now no longer allowed to smile in your photograph which, I think makes anyone look sinister! 4 takes just isn't enough, and some you are stuck with whatever the last photo to be taken is. Admittedly, I do waste the first two with nervous laughing outbursts (you can imagine what they look like), the third I've got a half a smile going on and by the 4th I'm trying so hard to look 'normal' I end up going the opposite way and looking like I'm about to hit someone. It is such an expensive way to spend £5-£6.50. I'm not even sure how much these booths of horror cost these days?? I know there are some photo shops you can go into and they take your photographs, but I think sharing this whole experience with a complete stranger might make it worse. Ah, such a trivial problem... I will let you lot know how it goes, when I muster up the time and courage to enter....THE BOOTH.Oh no wait Im not allowed to smile ---->

Oh no, what awful news Calling, I wish there was something we could do to help - you are going through so much, but please know that we are all here to listen…
LOL, Lovedove, your post made me laugh – I hate the dreaded photobooth! I did have my last one done in a shop and it was EVEN WORSE! Loads of people looking on and terrible lighting which makes my (hated) forehead crease look like the grand canyon.
Good luck with these potential rooms NSK, the right one will be out there waiting for you…
Well, it’s DH’s birthday today and, bless him, his choice of a slap up meal out (one of our two planned outings this month) was a subway sandwich tonight! So we spent £10 rather than the £40 or so budgeted. No exercise today though, was hoping to have run when I got in a bit early from work today but I fell asleep – whoops.
Like a lot of others out there tonight I am feeling like it’s a long way till the end of the month. Just updated the spreadsheet and was disgruntled to see there are still 10 days till the big ‘payoff’ , it really must nearly be the end of the month by now, surely? It’s been January forever. We are not going to have the amount I hoped for at the end of this month, but maybe I was a bit too unrealistic as it would have been the highest amount we would have saved to date, but we might do ok.
Keep warm Hobbitses X

Evening everyone,
Not much to update today. Spent a few pennies as needed a top up of bread and milk but no other spendsNo alcohol but did have a chocolate so that ruins my chocolate free day. Walked the dogs so exercise is done
I am so excited for Friday and payday (I'm sure I've said this for the last week!). OH is also refusing to let me buy a takeaway on payday (I usually treat us once a month) on account of my diet! I think he is rather keen for me to lose weight :rotfl:

Wow, well done everyone for keeping the tempo up and bashing those spends where ever you can. It is especially hard when there are other tough things going on so positive vibes to all those who need them.
I have a couple of days away for work so am going to enjoy being well fed and in a warm hotel room, having a long bath and charging up all my electrical devices (not at the same time, obviously!). I'm also going to try to enjoy being in the place I'm going too - so often just dash to meetings sand back, this time I want to see the place even if thats a late night / early morning walk around. Almost like a holiday really!!!
NSD today - first for a few days, but the others have all been much reduced spends so the challenge has helped even where I had to breach a NSD.
Not so good that yesterdays breach was an auto-renew on a dating site, that I havent used for a really long time (not really in the mood for prioritising dating at the moment!). Checked the T&C and customer service and cant really get out of it. But whilst I was on...somebody interesting got in touch. Maybe I'll set it up to finish as soon as it can, but have a look in the meantime. It could just be fate, hey?
Had a short notice paying guest last night and another couple coming tomorrow instead of next week. They just came to get the key as I'll be away when they arrive, seem very lovely. I will relish having the house to myself come the weekend again though, it almost makes staying in an event in itself! Does mean I have to spend tonight tidying up then packing so I best crack on with those jobs. Think that defers my amazon trade in possibly unless I have a go first thing tomorrow, but on the plus side some of my decluttering led to ebay listings and there are watchers for a couple of random items already. All good, hey?
At least it mean I'll be coming home to a tidy house after. And I get a bit of a late start tomorrow due to the travel times. All good!! Best of luck with the next few days.
