I haven't posted for a while, been so busy working 6 days a week, and single parent to 3 boys.
Got paid on Friday. Really pleased I have managed to pay off £652, this month. So I have updated my signature. :T
Next month dropping my weekly cash spend to £60 a week, so I can pay more.
xx
Wow! Well done MagicLily that is an impressive amount! :T:T:TNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Good morning folks
Today won't be a SFD as I have to go to the dentistI should get my exercise done though as it's not raining so I'm going to have a good long walk around town.
I've got trainers to return, so my aim for today is to find a new pair in town for less than the cost of the pair I'm returning. No LTW as I don't work on a Monday but have home-made soup, so I am taking a snack to town with me and will aim to be home in time for the hunger pangs starting.0 -

Quite impressed with my weekly shop this week - £37 including cat food. We really are eating out of the freezer this week - meals may be a bit samey but who cares? Also had some leftover Chinese takeaway from Friday which has been portioned up for 2 of my lunches and Hubby is on the last of the Christmas turkey today for his lunch.
Off to catch up with you all now x
Hugs to you, Calling xxx
NSK -I'm doing ok thanks for asking. I think I did a lot of grieving for dad before he died. Friday wasn't as difficult to cope with as I thought it would be and this weekend we started to help mum clear out some of his stuff - all his techie/computer/cds/junk stuff that we have no attachment to. It would have been his birthday today so once today is over, I can start moving onwards, IYKWIM0 -
Good morning,
Today will be a SFD. Will probably need cat litter soon, but no food spends planed till Fri/Sat. Overspend already on my food and other budget but it is a long month and I probably under-budgeted, I expect another £40 shop next weekend. Nursery refund came in but is still sitting in OHs account. He got paid today so should get £300 off him incl the money he borrowed.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
So if it doesn't rain it pours!
The bike is going to cost me £315. The alarm unit needs replaced. Intereference by a "friend" who rescued me last time may render the warranty nil and void. Recovery of said bike was £50??.. I will get a friend to drop me up there to pick it up.
The new landlord has said I can't move in to the house at the end of the month as he is housing his brother and sister-in-law for 4-6 weeks. I am so annoyed but his behaviour so far has been a little concerning ( not answering texts etc).. I am letting him go, I don't trust him. Thankfully no money has changed hands. But I am back to the drawing board with 12 days until I move out.
I am going out for a Pepsi Max. Please don't judge me.“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Be glad when January is over, just seems to snowball into more bad news. I not sure how much more I can take. Sister in law now got ovarian cancer and in a bad way. Even my lodger came back after going home for the weekend, last week her poor little doggy had been run over and killed.
Just looking forward to February after the hell of Dec and Jan.
Dolly84 - how annoying I feel for you, do you not monitor your cc on line?
So sneaky how these companies put extra charges on yr account.
Hugs to LearningtoBudget and Missyv30 hope everything works out well.
Yesterday SFD , nice meal out but treated to it by new bf.
Today back in work,so SFD planned, somehow feel more upset today,
Taken weds off work going to see the ace nursing staff and thank them in the home, need to buy bottles of wine to take with me - asda trip tomoro.
Made a huge lists of jobs to do this week and exercise planned but really feel drained and not looking like it may not start till next week. ;-)
Update totals next and try and deal with all this work on my desk.

ha ha, I scan read this on my phone and thought you said you were going on the Pepsi Max (the Blackpool roller coaster ride) :rotfl:
Sorry, not helpful!
 to the rest of your post though. I do love a good drama, but that's taking things a bit far. You did express slight concern in earlier posts about future landlord so you should be pleased that you're listening to your gut instinct. In my experience, it's rarely wrong :T Does leave you in a bit of a pickle though. Are you able to stay where you are for a few more weeks til you find somewhere else?
Boo about the bike costs!
Has anything good happened to you today?
I got back to my car after work the other day and there's a 6 inch deep scrape on the driver door  I can't tell if another car scraped it or someone scuffed something along side it? Who knows but it's right through to the metal so I better get it fixed just in case it starts to rust! Has anyone had any experience of this? I shall start with a quote from Chips Away and my local VW garage. It's a new car so I want it fixed properly ( the most expensive way!!)
Did I say yesterday that I'd spend the morning doing housework? ha ha, that was ambitious! Still in PJs, having breakfast before heading off to work - oops0
