2 kitties at the vets tonight. Should be a free trip as boosters are already paid for but I know my little Stressed Scrappy is going to need more "kitty chill pills" (he's over grooming again, not surprising really considering all that's been going on here recently) so I'll have to pay for that and a consulatation fee0 -
SFD 9 here, massive fail. However I've done ok on the other areas including only £2.7 over shopping budget.
Managed to shave £11 a month off our home insurance which is rather good, have two other insurances to sort this week but from the intial quotes I have I think we will save at least £50 a month so £600 in the year, wondering we should plough the difference in our emergency savings when they are all sorted?Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Work has got in the way today.... been surfing through pages wanting to highlight peoples successes this week - it might have to continue tomorrow. Picking up the bike after work ( a girly friend is driving me there ) and am hoping the bill is under £250..; - (“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Hey there all…
Feeling ill again today, bah, just as I was getting over my xmas cold, so no swim tonight. I am most miffed about my lack of exercise this month but I just don’t seem to have ever felt well… It’s a good job DH seems to prefer the more ‘rounded’ me at the moment, as I haven’t had the energy to keep my weight down and my exercise at its usual 5-7 times a week. Shame all my work clothes are suffocating me! Not very smart when your dress is riding up all the time because of your big bum and hips – I refuse to buy new clothes tho! Not going to spend money on new things.
But, a NSD, and although I don’t think we’ll make the 20, we’ll not be far off and given all the vets visits I don’t think we’ve done too bad.
Not much else to report here.

Happy Nearly Friday Everyone! :j
According to my spreadsheet I had actually tallied my SFD's up wrong yesterday and had actually acquired = 15 Sfds :T
I have had a spend day today. Today was the day that I entered the Booth... literally first one I saw, straight in there (£5!) BUT they only gave me 3 attempts!! 3?? How stingy is that, the photos got progressively worse, I think in one of them I wasn't even looking the right way?? At least at the end I got to pick my 'favourite.'
I realise my mistake in getting my photo taken in the middle of winter when my skin is practically see-through and my shadows are easily seen (despite my attempts to cover them up before the photo!) My hair also came out it's natural colour- despite being dyed a much lighter colour- these booths are magical but in a menacing way! I am quite fair skinned and naturally have nearly black hair, which is why I always dye my hair lighter to prevent myself looking...washed out. No such luck, winging it's way to the passport office is now two convict style photos of yours truly, with my old passport. *sigh* but at least it is all in motion now. Looking forward to being able to book flights again!
My little self-set up running group was cancelled last night, so I have been very good and partaken in an exercise DVD today, which consists of dance/combat and toning. I'll be walking over to the other half's later as well. (It'll make up for the tea and choccy digestive biscuits I will no doubt indulge in *nom*)
Tiptoes - Hope you get better soon!! Thank you for also sharing your photo shop experience as well! Your description was incredibly amusing! :rotfl: I'm starting to wish I had cut a fringe to cover-up my bad boy lines that are sneaking across my forehead. I looked back at my 19 year old self in my old passport and thought to myself, mini me had no idea back then what lines were! Although back then you were allowed to have boofy hair slightly covering your face and were allowed to smile.
Thrifty - Hope you feel better soon as well and shake off that cough!:coffee:

Evening all,
Loveadove I think the passport agency must control/design the booths to give themselves a good giggle when people have to send in their photos. My dad used to have a photo in which he was massively smiling, why can't we smile on the photos now?!
SFD number 14 todayI might just make 20 SFDs, I need to food shop on Saturday, pay for parking on Sunday and a top up shop midweek next week. Fingers crossed for no unexpected spends and that I can resist the urge to spend on payday.
I didn't exercise today due to the rain (4 wet dogs and 2 wet humans is best avoided), had no chocolate, no alcohol, took lunch to work and did a tutoring sessionSo apart from my budgets (!), the month is going well and I'm getting into really good habits that I hope I can continue from now on.
Hope everyone has had a successful day and is doing ok.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hi all
So.. coasting into 20 SFD tomorrow and only 3 spend days this year so far. I have managed to plan and bunch my spend days successfully but no matter how organised I have been there has been no avoiding the large but necessary spends (such as car insurance, breakdown cover, new mobile phone, food, birthdays etc etc) which has pushed my overdraft right up! Never mind, pay day is quickly approaching and this will be cleared but it looks like my DFD will need to be extended until next month because of the fees needed to pay for a low interest re mortgage, which wasnt part of the plan until a few weeks ago!
I think I can relax a little with the SFD's because if items are truly necessary I shant go without like I have done this month.. I know I can trust myself to only buy things that I need and avoid unnecessary spending.. :A
Keep going folks, the February light is coming to view at the end of the tunnel :T
Get well soon Thrifty n Tiptoes!
Well wishes and hugs to all, with strength and healing to you Calling xxNinja Saving Turtle
