    Afternoon all,

Just checking in whilst I have a break from planning coursework lessons. Today is SFD number 7 and exercise day number 12 :) I have now got a few aches and pains from two days in a row at the gym, but still have the dogs to walk so will be exercising even whilst I avoid the gym.

Well done to everyone who is doing so well with their budgets in January :)

  • Hello trying to prise myself out of bed after my nights. Feeling lazy but need to go create something nutritious to eat before the kids and oh eat the cupboards bare. Managed 2 nsd over weekend. Willpower set to maximum when at 4am the vending machine was screaming buy chocolate at me!
Found a free entry for soft play tomorrow so will be entertaining my youngest for a few hours. However fruit is nearly run out so will have to go to farm shop for a top up.
Hope your weekends have been good. L2B.x

Been working night shifts this weekend. Last one tonight before a few days off then I can catch up with taking stock of budgets and doing whatever gets left while in bed to work mode!

So 12 SFD and no further exercise since Friday.

    Hello,

Had a really lazy day just taking care of DS who is still poorly. Might have to take tomorrow off. Stayed in all day so def a SFD.

Took over OH's "old" smart phone which is way better than mine. I can now run my mobile banking app on it. Will also have a look for a budgeting one.

Oops ... As expected, work got in the way of posting last week - after spending all day looking at a screen, I try to stay offline most nights to give my eyes a rest. Almost caught up with myself this weekend, washing, cleaning, shopping blah blah ... just in time to go back to work tomorrow!

    Here's my update:
SFDs: 3/20 - lots of travelling for work so struggled to avoid spending. At least I got to take my lunch with me every day!
Groceries: £130/£200 - just under £60 this week, needed wash powder - but meant I could do another downshift and have most things for the next 2 weeks
Petrol: £0/£60 - but will have to spend next week!
Downshift: 5/5 - but unfortunately am going to have to step back up on oats - neither of us liked A&ldi's basic oats, but got some big oats on offer, and will use the A&di ones in flapjacks so not wasted.
    Lunch to work: 7/22
Outings: £9/£40 - one night out on Friday, round at a friends and only had to take a drink
Food bank: £3/£3 - managed to figure out how to donate by text!
Exercise: 3/3 x 20 minutes - not formal exercise, but have had to do loads of walking between offices, whilst carting heavy laptop & bags - it certainly felt like I'd been doing exercise by Friday!
    Beauty spends: £0/£10
Alcohol: 12/31(365) - 2nd alcohol-free weekend, and still not tempted!
Pay Towards Your Debt First: £99 - and should have another £100 once EBay bids are paid for. :j:j

I should manage a lot more SFDs this week, as I'm in my home office - where I have coffee/tea/water on tap, so no excuses! Away next weekend, but shouldn't be expensive as it's mainly family visits, I'm already looking forward to checking in next week!

    Have a good week all!:hello::hello::hello:

    Evening all,
Tried to post this morning but it went all dolally on me.
Worked some OT today then got home and cooked tea, have only just sat down after tidying up, folding nappies and ironing shirts!
It was a spend day today, I had seen a top that I thought would be ideal for DS that was heavily reduced the other night but couldn't get it and it was still there so I got it today. In fact all my purchases were reduced so that's ok right?
I have a question NSK, forgive me if you have already clarified this but when it comes to children's activities where the money is already allocated does that mean it's a spend day?

Not a SFD as I have booked and paid for our hotel for a friend’s wedding in August. Sheesh, that’s £215 gone for 2 nights. Looking forward to it, but wincing at the money coming out of January’s budget. No other spends at all this weekend. To make up for hotel spend (in some odd karma way) have been for a run and a swim today. But in getting out of the car from the pool I have wrenched my back AGAIN!! Arrghhh.
