Yesterday was a NSD making it 5 now.
Visited my brother and sister in law, who have been staying in a log cabin but this scuppered my spending. I had to buy more petrol to get there and back and had intended to do this when I went shopping today.
It was lovely though and we had a nice walk round the woodlands too.
Going for a walk round our local park today and then to the market for fresh veg. I think I'll make a big pan of lentil and veg soup for next weeks lunches. I hear more bad weather is on its way.
Have a good weekend.NSK Zombie # SFD 7/15 Food Bank £0/£5

A spendy day for me yesterday, went to parents to use their drive to clean the inside of my car it was disgraceful but now looks beautiful
but then went to car wash to clean the outside so spoilt my NSD
Needed to pay a friend some money for a pile of clothes for my DS2 she only puts her kids in next clothes and her Ds had been bought different shop clothes for Xmas so she sold them to me for £20 included 3 sweatshirts, 5 tops, jogging trousers so I'm well happy :rotfl:
DS2 is going to a party today where I will need to pay for parking, but going to have a drive round and see if I can park for free with a little bit of walking so will not break my SFD and do a little bit of excersise.
Will report in later.
Sending hugs to all that need them and a :T for everyone sticking to the challenge so well.JJ #81 6/20 NSD £100.48/£400 food budget (5 people plus doggy). £118/£150 petrol budget.

xspender- sorry to hear your news
hopefully you will find something else soon
tea-lover- has your local tesco not got one? in the blurb before xmas it said tesco had signed up for ongoing support and there is now a shiney new collection bin in the foyer bit of my local tesco that i noticed last night
Crazycatlady- hope your DGD gets well soon
rosie- well done on paying off your credit card! _party__party__party_
tiptoes- will be interested to see how you get on with value liquid as i have gone back to fairy from supermarket brand as find it does last longer (i always get the massive £2 bottle in asda which is about the same price as own brand anyway)
siouxsie- if the stuff is still cold (but defrosted) personally i would just whack the non meat stuff back in as sure it will be fine as long as you make sure its piping hot before eating. i have defrosted portions of beef stew then refrozen them and ive been fine! esp stiff like frozen veg if you are going to stick in a slow cooker anyway
so ive got another two mystery shops to do today. then off to rollerskating and may go for a quick swim after depending on the time.
my shins are feeling much better so considering going to the running shop to get my new trainers. i hate spin classes (only normally do them when nothing better is on) and i am bored of swimming so want to start doing my other classes again! will have a quick little jog on spot to make sure they dont hurt first!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Doodles - I can hardly believe that someone would get rid of clothes just because they didn't come from Next - crazy.
siouxsie - I agree with clippy - a lot of the food will be fine. Much of the information about freezing and dates is a bit over the top, just common sense needed really.
DH is giving the dog a bath, we have run out of shampoo for him so he is being lathered up with tea tree and mint shower gel. It will do the job just the same, he is being very kind and doing it with warm water instead of the hose pipe. Hello hello JIs
What a hectic week. First week in my new job and it kicked my !!!!!. I've switched from working shifts which were either 13hour days or nights x3 per week to these normal 9-5 M-F things. Struggling after 13years of shifts and 10 of doing 3x per week. Shock to the system. It's totally kicked up all my usual fitness regime too- only managed 3 rather than 5-6 hours of exercise this week cause of it so feeling bloated, sluggish and tired. Eee. I know I'll settle into it but I'm impatient and want it all perfect, now! Hah. My Grandad got admitted to my old hospital on my first day at my new hospital as well which added to everything. Thankfully he responded to treatment and got discharged on Thursday. I need my bloods doing soon too as I'm a bit anaemic (not helping either!) due to my medications.:o

Morning!
Another NSD day here, whoop whoop! Staying in all day playing with the kids and pottering around doing jobs. At the moment I have some hair dye on as my hair was looking rather desperate! Going darker this time for a change as I usually use mid brown dye but last time it was red brown.
Not much to tell really apart from I walked the school run both times yesterday which really helped my mood.

Good Morning Folks!
Quick check in, about to head out to Morries to get some bits. I've unexpectedly got next week off. Our holidays run March to March and there is always a rush after Christmas, when everything has died down, to book up remaining holidays. My last time off was August so I've got loads to take. The problem is that everyone else has been booking up.
I was even nice and gave up one week in March I had requested so somebody could go home abroad for three weeks. So, my boss decided that next week was a good time for me to have off. Not got anything planned until Thursday when I am going to see the OH.
I was going to try and save my SD until Wednesday but it is my besties son's birthday this week so I need to pick up a present for him. This is budgeted for, just not in my signature, neither is my OH visit money.
Should be able to get some more of my brand shifts in at Morries. It's a little further a field than my normal supermarkets but it has some stuff that I can only get there, so I treat myself every now and then. The biggest being veggie hotdog sausages. The quornn ones don't do it for me so when I go I tend to buy a few packets to stock up.
So, Morries and then the giant giraffe toy store. Also got to think of birthday presents for the OH, again budgeted for, jusst haven't got a clue what to get. But, that may wait until Wednesady when I am near more idea shops.
Had to amend my lunches to work figures because of holidays. I would say it would save me some money, but most of my lunches for work are coming from the freezer or store cupboards.

Hiya
I have spent part of both this morning and yesterday afternoon in the kitchen. I do love cooking
Yesterday I made fruit cake and choclate buns (half with choc buttercream topping and half melted chocolate - these went done very well with the boy and his friend). Today I have made done Viennese tarts and 'pot noodles'! Basically fried a bit of left over red pepper with some chopped mushrooms and a handful of frozen peas, stirred in a jar of morrisons cheapo curry sauce (like Chinese) and cooked a pack of egg noodles and mixed the lot together. I have split into 5 portion, one I am eating now for lunch and then 4 for the freezer for packed lunches. Really easy and scrummy and I am using up things which have been lurking for months so all good :T
Yesterday I food shopped. I did buy more than I had on my list but overall was pleases with how it went. I spent roughly £20 in Iceland, £10 in the green grocers and (this is where it fell down a bit) £20 in the co-op. I did get some yellow sticker items in the co-op and things like squirty cream and curry powder which will last ages. So far I have spent about £60 on groceries this month which is pretty good. Next weekend I plan to go to lidl and do a 'tins and packets' shop. Will need tomatoes, beans, sweet corn, peas, peaches, rice, pasta and juices by then. Will tot up totals and update sig shortly. Put £40 in the car yesterday too.
Not doing very well as regards SFD as we have bought milk on a few days and one day I did buy lunch last week - I took salad and cup a soup but was starving so bought a cheese and coleslaw cob from a shop near work. Not the one I usually go to. Anyway, the bread was heavy and the coleslaw pretty tasteless so it has put me off. Must stock up my drawer again as it is almost empty bar a few cup a soups. Next week I will be taking low low cheese spread and crackers/rivita and some cereal bars and grapes :-)
I have been offered extra hours at work on Fridays when I am usually off. Much as I like my Fridays I am going to jump at the chance as the money will be a big help! Oh and my avon sale went well at work. I just printed a list of items I have in my stock at home and undercut both rrp and current brochure priceI have made £46 so far
sold 3 items on eBay too which I posted yesterday and got £6 payout from quidco :j
Right of off to clean out the ratties and then it will be time for coffee and cakeM and his dad have been out this morning roller skating and then to a birthday party. I am expecting them back about 2pm so will just about have time.

Hey everyone
Ashamed to admit this is my first check in this month, i've been so busy and tired I've not had a chance to update, apologies. I have been doing ok with the challenge though apart from the exercise but will try and make up for this from now til end of month, we've booked a holiday for February so have even more motivation now to get myself in gear lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've update dmy signature. Don't have a DFD as I'm so happy to say I'm debt free (apart from my mortgage), I payid my last £410 odds off my credit card on new years eve so my aim this year is to save as much as I possibly can this year and these challenges are so brilliant in helping to keep my spending in check, thanks Kat x
I'm off work this weekend and so enjoying my day on my own in the house, even enjoyed doing my cleaning today, how sad is that lol, haven;t been out teh door and don;t intend to be so should be another SFD.
Enjoy you weekend everyone xxSave £25,000 in 2025: #45-£524.15/25, 000
