Hi
Just a quick update as I have just lost a long post and too tired to type it all out again
So SFD no 5 and LTW no 6 today.
Tomorrow should be a SFD but will need to spend on one day over the weekend. After that I'm hoping not to have a spend day until about Thursday next week
Hope everyone has a great Friday
Chez xThat money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"0 -

Hi all
Another Sfd :j i desperately want to be debt free by december and now i feel it is within reach, i will not go in a shop unless i really have to. Exercise achieved today :T
Keep going everyone, we are doing so well :T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Wow,your all doing so well! Only 4SFDs here but did do more exercise yesterday and today, taking me to 6/ 15. Today's walk with baby was over an hour long too
On the down shifting front I've downshifted four products, one floor cleaning universal soap, one wood floors cleaning soap and laundry powders for white and colors. All bought in the value equivalent own brand. I've one further product to swap but decided to upshift my carrots and spuds from value to own brand as I thought they went off too soon and was too watery in taste. And I love me carrots and spuds I'd rather have slightly nicer ones than throw out value ones that have gone off. I hope that doesn't deduct from my downshifting!
Really pleased to read how well your all doing this month - go hobbitses! Finally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!
Janus Illusion challenge #87
Total CC & overdraft: £5827, planned DFD= 31.12.140 -
Well... I have been kinda sly today. One of the girls at my work doesn't want to do her nightshifts so I spoke to my boss and offered to swap my days for her nights. So I now have six extra nightshifts instead of six dayshifts.
This is a good thing as I get paid more for nightshifts (unsociable hours). I am feeling quite pleased about this.
Solw cooker was a massive success... so much so that I am considering trying to make beef in it and then make stovies. I don't normally eat beef (apart from mince) so this would be quite interesting. Going to nosey round recipe sites as well.
Spend-free day today. I can't remember what number I am on. It will be in the signature.
Oh, and we put away our savings yesterday which was good. I think, once our debt is gone, I would love to start saving for our honeymoon which would be in 2018.
The plan was to go touring in america for about three weeks to a month. So we would need quite a lot of money I imagine.
It's a good dream to have I think.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

SFD number 3 for me today!
I had a long day at work and had a glass and a bit of rose tonight. Have just put a 5 litre box of rose in the fridge, but will try to leave it a few days before I have another glass.
I did pick up a few things in Wilko today - but I used my Love2shop card, so no cash was exchanged. It was some toiletries, tealights, and some bits for Christmas they were selling off for 25p - spent £6.36 in total - I think I still have some money left on my card so that should get me some more toiletries when I need them.
Hoping tomorrow will be another SFD. Will need to go shopping on Saturday to buy some fresh bits so I can do some batch cooking - have meat in the freezer, so I should be able to get quite a few meals cooked and frozen for next week.
Hoping to get out for a run in the morning before work - evening class tomorrow night so no opportunity then.
Stewby - what is a stovie?
Have a good Friday everyone and will check in again tomorrow.0 -
superdopsa thought that sums it up nicely. "Stovies is a Scottish dish based on potatoes. Recipes and ingredients vary widely, but the dish always contains potatoes with, variously, onions, carrots, other vegetables, roast beef, corned beef, minced beef or other meat. Stovies is thus a dish intended to use left-over food." Stove is stew in Scots. It's usually thickish, like rough mash with the above ingredients.
Love them, cheap and filling. I often make mine with lamb roast leftovers and just potatoes and onions.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Evening all. No NSD here - DD went to athletics, so that was £2 subs. I warmed up with a cuppa there (£1.10) while I watched but have taken that and DD's lunch money top up from the food budget, even though it came from the bottom of my handbag. Really enjoy watching DD - the athletics club is much more fun to take her to and watch than all those years of standing outside / sitting in cars outside village hall waiting for other clubs like brownies or dance to finish. I feel like I've had a night out when I sit in the grandstand and watch the hurdling etc taking place!
More than a bit disappointed that sig now reflects xmas additions - debt has gone upbut payday in just a few days time will take care of that and make it an overall decrease! Still makes me glum especially as we tried so hard to cut down this xmas.
Guest leaves tomorrow but has just asked about coming backHoray not just financially - he is super interesting and inspiring to chat to and has been no trouble at all.
Been put forward for some amazing opportunities at work :j but they involve a couple high profile events. I think I'll be needing that haircut this month not next nowbut at least my hairdresser does it for me at her place so its as cheap as it can really be. May have to skimp elsewhere to move slightly more than 10 to beauty spend though, as I would class that in that pot. To be honest its much needed - last done pre back to school in Sep, and I have crazy wild hair so it shows.
Still full of coldI think I'll be exercising multiple times each day to catch up with the rest of you soon.
