    1. SFD 4/20 :j
    2. Food budget £27.37/£200
    3. Brand downshift 0/5
    4. Lunch to work 4/11 (projected days in the office this month)
    5. Arranged outings 2/4
    6. Exercise 7/15
    7. Petrol budget 0/£50
    8. Food bank donation 0
    9. Beauty spends 0/£10

All looking good today :D I've taken my lunch with me (although I'm not impressed with sandwich thins - I've had two ham "sandwiches" and am still hungry. I'm glad I got them in the YS section!) and have spent nothing but have made my own tea instead. I have gone for a good walk around the grounds at work so by the end of the day I'll have done my minimum steps.

Tomorrow will be a spendy day as I have to put petrol in the car and will also need food. I've been doing the Weekly Spend Challenge and have £19.87 of that budget for the week left, so I'm aiming to keep my food spending to less than that. the petrol will come from another budget anyway.

I don't think I've said this yet, but thanks so much NSK for creating this challenge. It's really making me think before putting my hand in my pocket. I nearly bought a loaf of bread last night because it was YS to 19p but I didn't want to ruin a SFD and I know I had a loaf in the freezer already :D

  • Hi Everybody!

So having just lost a long post I went off to make a cup of black tea to try again. Some bright spark is fixing the heating inour office. This entails them turning the air-con up to full artic blast. So sat here in London in our own personal polar vortex I am finding it increasingly difficult to type. :( We have the chance to change offices but I am a stubborn mule and like staying right where I am thank you very muchus!

First thing first - £36 sale for eBay stuff. Amazed that I only ended up with £33.22 after that - so annoying. However that's more space created in my room and it's collection only!

I am at work until 1900 but really want to get cracking with down-sizing even more. I am going to go through all my books over the weekend as I know there are some under my bed that I didn't want to part with - now they are all going. :):):) I also have a lot of kitchen stuff that needs to go and will take it to one of my local charity shops!

My soon-to-be-new landlord has been ignoring my textgs leaving me a little worried. The last I sent was along the lines of "should I look for another flat" - he replied saying he got all my texts this moring at 2am. Either way I don't care if he is lying - I need a cheap house for a few months and I will hopefully be able to sign for it next Tuesday! :o

Anyway enough rattling from me... gonna read some postings now and tuck my hands in my sleeves.... I kept my boots on this morning, I have a stupid dress on that itsn't thick enough, a cardy, a coat, a male colleagues coat and all I need now is my fluffy Mog to keep me warm...:T:T:T

    Afternoon,
Had a very busy day here, went to the group I help run and we were really busy then home for a nap (DS and me) and today is also a NSD and I'm hoping the next 3 in a row will be too.

Signed up for some overtime on Sunday, only a few hours but it all goes towards the debt:T all the students have gone back now so lots of overtime going throughout the store so will try and pick up as much as I can manage.

Also done my daily exercise, walked to pick up DD from school and it was nice to get out in the fresh air, I usually walk all the time but the weather has been so rotten I've not been able to.

I'm using up back stock in the freezer, found some homemade pie filling and homemade pastry in the freezer so DH and I are having pie for tea, the DC are having a mini roast, better crack on with it now!

Work later too, only 4 hours tonight though.

    :hello: Hi All,

I can smell Friday, it is almost here!!! Hooray!

Had a SFD yesterday and another today bringing my total to:
    Sfds= 7/20 :j

I will certainly require a Spend day tomorrow, for fuel, top ups and a Birthday present for my Ma.

Exercise= 1/4.5 hours Lovely long walk yesterday with OH, although we both realised how unfit he is :/ I do walk at quite a pace though so it's not surprising! Hoping my run with the girls goes ahead tonight, I will not count it unless it happens! :)

    Grrrr - rant!!!

I ordered some stuff from ebay at Christmas - alas - none of it fit...

They cost £38.96... it cost me £7.00 to post them back - and I've just had a refund for £33.96 as they said they deducted postage costs?!?!

I'm now £13.00 out of pocket for products I don't have!!! Is this how it's supposed to work???

    Grrrr!!!

On the plus side... my SFD = 5!

    :)

  • My DD just made me smile had planned on going to pub at weekend with her bf and friends but said they are now all coming round to our house for pizza and wine as much cheaper than going to pub. I'm teaching her well ......

I can see all the youngster Hobbitses are learning well! This is great news - maybe tempt her to make her own pizza bases from flour ( very cheap) - then top it with supermarket own brand items like pineapple ( 32p for a massive can and corn for 35p), el cheapo slices of budget sausages on top, some veg like one pepper and a few toms, and budget cheese... Hmmmmm! :T:T:T

I think if it was your error in guestimating sizes as opposed to them listing it wrong then yes unfortunatly. I just returned a book that I should have got on Kindle to save space and that cost me £3 to send back - I could have kicked myself! :(

Bought petrol and paid a bill today. Meant tomorrow to be a NSD but due to a (nice) change in logistics, I couldn't get to Ald1 today and will have to go tomorrow. V sorry to lose a NSD, but I will keep it to the few bits and pieces we are out of.
