SFD no 5 today.
Yesterday was a spendy day, just some groceries which was good. Although on the downside I missed my yoga class. There are several roads around Oxford city that are closed, and the knock on was that there was very little chance I'd get to class on time. Sounds ridiculous thinking it would take more than 30min to go 5 miles, but it's true! Fingers crossed it's a bit better for next week, my back is not appreciating the return to a desk and heels!Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Morning all! Hope everyone is fine and dandy?
I'm aiming for a SFD today, will pop down to work to pick up my muffin I forgot yesterday and hand in the leaving pressie, Avon lady at midday, then plan on a bit of de cluttering, shredding etc
And also sort out my financials a bit as I have money going in AND out tomorrow and I want to get the correct amounts in the correct accounts (one for challenges/savings, one for debt and one bills, day to day etc account)
SFDs: 6/20
Food budget: £33/£100
Brand downshift: 2/5
Foodbank: £0/£3
Exercise sessions: 5/15
Outings: 0/£50
LTW: 7/20
I am an AVON rep and this is my take on it. If you have lots of friends, relatives and colleagues buying from you it may pay quite well, I have to rely on territory for most of my orders and it is hard work sometimes, pounding the streets in all weathers, then people are out or haven't any money and think you have nothing else to do but keep coming back.
AVON themselves are regularly out of stock so you don't get the money you expected, the orders are badly packed so all the little things get squished under the giant bubble baths, the brochures are expensive and quite often they do fixed discounts on branded items which means you may trail to someone's house with an order and end up with £1 for your trouble.
Other than that it is OK:rotfl:.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I think I have an addiction to this thread
I woke 10 minutes before the alarm went off at 5 this morning and found myself catching up with posts I had missed while I was asleep!
But the one thing that cheered me up no end was the pic of princess Dorothy the Mog: aka evil puss serial banana killerI couldnt decide from the photo whether she was worn out after her banana fight or whether she was looking for any stray bananas lurking around to pounce on! :rotfl:Awww she is a cutie!
I love cats I do
esp tabby cats
Now then, back to the nitty gritties.. SFD no 8 today. I had bolognese for brunch at work, bolognese for tea just now and there is more bolognese in store tomorrowand er.. the next day too..
Once its digested a little more Im going to go out for a brisk walk and clock up exercise no 5! Hope I havent tempted fate by already noting it in my signature!
Like many people on this thread I am also grateful for being part of NSK bootcamp :T Debt and debt repayment can take over your life at times so its good to have a challenge like this as a distraction and to focus on our wellbeing :T
I am also going to add 30 minutes of reading per day (most days), be it a novel or work stuff because that is something I used to enjoy once, before my debts took over..
Keep it up everyone! :T
See ya later :wave:Ninja Saving Turtle

Another NSD today as I've been at home most of the day, so that makes it 4.
I was hoping to start losing some weight this year but I also need to use up the food in the house. I try to eat healthily most of the time so that the occasional slip doesn't cause too much of an issue. So tonight, it's Cornish pasty with beef broth soup.
I know some people get rid of all the "unhealthy" food when they're trying to lose weight but I want to stick to my frugal plans. I've only got stuff for meals - no sweets/cakes etc so I will be cooking from scratch and will focus on good, home made meals with lots of veg. I must say I have a weakness for fish finger sandwiches.
All my budgets are still looking good and every NSD helps me to spread the bit of food budget out that bit further.
I love having a a cuppa and catching up on what you have all been doing. Even when you feel you are only making a tiny contribution to paying off debts, every little bit is adding up. I know because some weeks I will pay the extra couple of pounds off one of my debts. I can pay any extras online whenever I want to, so that takes it away from me having it in my purse.
Hugs to those that need them, for whatever the reason.NSK Zombie # SFD 7/15 Food Bank £0/£5

Well... It's official. You guys have broken me!!
Went shopping today with my cousin (we are very bad influences on each other) and she came away with £90 worth of shopping from new l00k and I bought nothing. I didn't even spend my xmas vouchers!!
The joke of it is that I picked up two nice floaty tops (£10 each) and thought... oooooooh, they would be good for Kos. Then decided I wouldn't really wear them without a cardigan which means they would be pointless as floaty tops. So I put them back.
I don't think that has ever happened to me in new l00k before. I don't know who was more shocked, me or my mum.
So congratulations... you have actually broken my "must spend everything I get" habit.
:rotfl:
P.S: I did buy some frozen peppers and some frozen peas, and some petrol so it was a spend day... I just wanted to report how I didn't buy clothes.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
