Evening all
SFD 4 today & also made £3 at local clothes bank so thats gone in the debt jar. Also got my free brew in Waitrose again so I could feed DD. It was weigh night tonight & I've lost 3.5lb in a week so I've got less than a stone to go :j:j
My plan for tomorrow is soft play for DS but they have an offer which is entry, unlimited squash & kids lunch for £1.99. I'll try & sneek in drinks for me & snacks for us both. I'm then visiting my very pregnant friend who's giving me her size 12 clothes for £10. This includes 4 trousers, tops, coat & gillet so really good. Hopefully with my weight loss I'll be able to fit into them.
Hope everyone's ok. Off to catch upTOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -
Hi All,
Well good news and sort of good news to report.
Last 2 days have been spend days. £20 fuel for car yesterday so £20/£100. Would have liked to have filled the tank up but need to wait for Friday when a cheque clears. Today was planned as a SFD but on the way home from work OH asked if it was a spend day today as he wanted to buy a lemon for the dinner he was cooking tonight. He's recently got into cooking which is great. Although he's been supportive in the challenge this is the first time he has really taken the SFD on board.
So the good news is that OH is now fully on board with the challenge :T:T
The sort of good news is that we went shopping and spent £6.44 taking my food budget to £33.30/£150 and I have everything I need for lunches and evening meals for at least the next 10 days (using store cupboard and freezer) :j
The meal, chicken breast with honey, soy sauce and lemon glaze with garlic mash potato and petit pois....delicious
Lunch to work today so 4/22
Hopefully I will not need to spend anything now until the weekend when I will need to stock up on food for the dogs, chicks and parrot. I will make sure that I stock up on milk if necessary on the same day.
So all in all I'm quite happy with my progress so far this month. Although I always used to meal plan I didn't always stick to the plan as I would pop to the shop for a couple of items and end up buying far too much and have to change the plan to use the items up. Now planning for SFD's has made me stick to the meal plan albeit I may switch the days around a bit but I know what meals we are having.
Thanks to everyone for the inspiration and support. It is so very helpful.

1. SFD 2/20
2. Food budget £27.37/£200
3. Brand downshift 0/5
4. Lunch to work 3/11 (projected days in the office this month)
5. Arranged outings 2/4
6. Exercise 6/15
7. Petrol budget 0/£50
8. Food bank donation 0
9. Beauty spends 0/£10
Another spendy dayA couple of lazy spends (left milk and snack at home so had to buy them at work) which meant I can't claim a lunch to work day in good conscience and a Groupon which will save me £25 on a haircut at my usual salon.
Tomorrow I'm working at home so it will definitely be a NSD. It needs to be if I'm going to get anywhere near 20 in the month.:o

evening all
today turned into a spend free day after all as my shin is really sore so didnt fancy walking to the pub. only spend was ebay postage but i dont count that as buyers paid. was going to get milk today as was breaking sfd for pub but have gone without. have just enough until sat if i eat eggs for breckie two days but i think it will go off by then as its use by 5th. still tastes fine so still using it for now but think will buy one pint at the shop at work tomorrowdidnt have room in freezer to freeze one and the dates werent long enough in shop to keep in fridge.
went for a swim today to get some exercise in as it doesnt hurt my shins. means i have done 7 days of exercise in a row (or every day this year which sounds better :rotfl:)
well done on your weight loss mrs toast :j my weigh in day is thursday and hoping for at least 2.5im also measuring my waist and thighs.
re supermarkets aldi is now my closest as a new one opened 0.49 miles away so started to go. quite a bit is cheaper than morrisons but they seem to have quite a few issues like selling out of stuff i want (and theres a lack of alternatives) or food having very short date which is not good when i want to shop once per week. i have started to go to morrisons as drive past on way home and buy cheese and reduced fruit and veg (always have stupid prices on a fri evening) then i go to aldi. then i had to go to tesco express last week as aldi had sold out of homous and i didnt buy in morrisons as its cheaper in aldi! wish it was aldi on way home and morrisons next as would be easier to get stuff! the things we do to save money :A

Ahhhh, cute cat NSK.
Successfully trimmed my hair tonight with the help of the things similar to cr3a clips. Will experiment some more soon to get it a bit shorter.
Off to the hospital tomorrow for a glucose tolerance test as my levels were up last week (bit bad timing to test for them after the holiday feast) but think it's just that and not gestational diabetes. That would make it even less fun than pregnancy is anyway.
Might also have to give in and do a wee veg/fruit and milk top up shop tomorrow.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Evening all. As predicted a spendy day today - craft club, Lotto syndicate, a bit of fresh food and some tissues.
Weather here was horrendous this morning so ended up catching the bus to and from work today. Hoping to get out for a run in the morning before work, as going in late as have a dentist appointment - I have to have a filling so it will be another spendy day.
Hoping to get a few more SFDs under my belt by the weekend.
Hope you all have a good Wednesday and are warm and dry. Hugs to all who want/need them!
Goodnight all!0 -
Evening all,
Just reporting on my 4th SFD and done another 60min walk home from work. Managed to pay in total £220 to three debts today because other half got paid. I thought that would pick my mood up putting the figures into my snowball, but still feel low and a million miles away from a better life for all of usanyway enough boring you.
Night night:j
