Hi everyone
quick check in today was a spendy day had to get petrol and met my friend for a catch up (no coffee shop involved).
But I now have reached 7 chocolate free daysjust need to stop drinking fizzy pop
Hoping for another SFD tomorrow as i have picked up an extra shift at work and hope to get to the gym in the morning(if i get up) ..
Anyway will check in tomorrow
Have a good evening everyone0 -
MrsGSR – good point, morries is nearest supermarket to us and I often go shopping on the way home from work visits rather than going out especially to save even more petrol. I hadn’t factored that into my budget thoughts - thanks for the reminder! And Lyneee – do let me know when you try Aldi if it’s cheaper as there is one near my office which I could get to every now and then for a change..
Rainbowbridge – the date night sounds like a lovely idea! I might suggest that to DH, although there is only two meals he can cook, so that would limit his cooking options unless I want scrambled eggs or fajitas every other date!
NSK – Can’t wait to see the pic! And quote of the day for me has to be “There isn't anything funnier than the "twack twack" noise of a cat pad-slapping a banana!” I do hope you solve the problem of getting a blog or website going whilst you travel…
Well, spendy here again as it was back to the vets for kitty and have been given the bad news that she probably has calicivirus, so that’s not good…:( and her being ill, plus trying to get back into the swing at work and STILL feeling rubbish means my exercise has really been suffering. Will really really try for a swim and steam tomorrow.
I desperately need a good night’s sleep so am off for a lovely bubble bath and de-stress relax now

Evening one and all.
Right, I think I am deluding myself with regards to groceries. I went yesterday, have a meal plan in place and nothing that I really really needed, things I wanted but could have waited for...so why I went again today is beyond me. Please make me stop! I think this popping back to the shop for things missed is screwing up my spending. Gaah!
So still on 3/ 20 but have racked up 3/ 15 exercise sessions so I guess that's something.
Onwards and upwards people!
:cool:Finally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!

Kat I have actually asked for redundancy as I have been in this job too long and needed a kick up the rear to get back on the career ladder as I am going no where. I have a short secondment starting this month which could last anything from 3 to 6 months with a possibility of going permanent.
My redundancy is not guaranteed but I have been out of the department for a year so I think it is likely I will get it as they don't have enouh people wanting to go as this is the second time we have been through it since October. I haven't been there long to get a huge payout but we can survive comfortably if we watch the pennies on DH wage alone.
I find out for definite on Friday.
Today has been a spend day; £20 on diesel and £22 in aldeee. This is the first time I have shopped there in ages and it was great. 3 'bag for life' bags of shopping and 4 large sparkling water for £22:D. I am claiming my remaining 3 brand down shifts as I bought a lot of my usual items like fruit, milk and dog food.:)
I have managed to list the fresh bits that need using and the kitchen freezer tonight. Just the garage freezer to do and when I have eaten up a bit more I will turn that freezer off.
No alcohol today and lunch taken to work. I am hoping for a run of NSDs until monday:DSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

Re Aldi and whether it's worth a journey. Ours is abour 4 mi away but way cheaper for most things than Asda or Tesco that are a mile away. A big shop in Tesco cost us £75 and now that we do the similar shop in Aldi or lidl it's only about 50 for a similar shop. I don't get everything there but most staples, and esp meat and veg.
eyewideopen, don't fret. It takes time to change a mind set. It took me months andnow i don't take my wallet anywhere unless it's a planned spend day and hate to part with money if i could go another day. Don't give up, keep trying.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hi all,
Nothing particularly exciting to report today except another SFD
Sfds =5/20
Girls cancelled running this eve much to my disappointment, bit too late to head out on my own. So OH has suggested that we go for a long walk together tomorrow evening and then hopefully back on to my running again on Thursday. I am hoping to have the last of my Christmas goodies out of the way tomorrow (Ie. chocolate and naughty biccies) as I'm constantly picking at them. Especially on the days I work from home, I can almost hear them calling me from the confines of the cupboards!
:coffee:

SFD today, also an AFD, but I'm not really counting them.
I gave up in October so I know I could do it, but I'm cutting down on the number of AD's this month. I haven't got any in at the moment, so it will have to wait until I go shopping, which won't be until the weekend at the earliest.
Back to the gym today for day 2 of the C25k challenge. Still not feeling too bad from it, which is good. I even let go of the handrail today.
Did a stock take after the gym. I have stuff in that should last me a while, I just need to make the effort and put stuff together. I've got 15 portions of stuff in the freezer for easy lunches alone!Feb NST #4

Cheerleader #1 reporting in with SFD number 3. Hard fought I tell you. Fallen off with skinny rules (which is very naughty) but am finding work stressful and turning to fizzy drinks/chocolate. it's nearly all eaten and simply won't buy more. ditto having no money means you can't spend (once someone's hidden my CC).
I was given some unexpected petrol money today (£20) so have put this in the 2K fund. hoping the CC bill comes in the next couple of days so I can pay that off ASAP.
Had particularly crappy day as my line manager clearly thinks i'm not doing a good job - I feel i am lacking direction and keep asking for guidance ... potential vicious cycle???
could really do with a hug from other half but won't see him again until 16th feb ... sigh ...
time to stop feeling sorry for myself. hugs to all who want/need them0 -
Hugs right back atcha Splodge!
Spend day today, £4 on lunch at work so 2 no-no's..forgot to make a packed lunch last night.
And I bought a chocolate muffin but someone put it back and I forgot to pick it up again so I've paid for one but not enjoyed the tasty chocolatey goodness!
I'm off tomorrow but might pop in to get my muffin, need to drop a leaving pressie in anyway.
Got a lady from Avon coming tomorrow lunch time to chat to me about becoming an Avon repany Avon ladies in the house?!
