Not a NSD today, but have only spent on the unavoidable bill that was due today (& budgeted for). Resisted various cheap offers in my local shop muttering "it's only a bargain if I need it" repeatedly, under my breath.....

Have done quite a bit of house cleaning to repair the chaos of the school holidays, so feeling chuffed about that.

Can't do a NSD tomorrow, so am planning my week to help try and make Thursday another one. Am getting quite into doing those! Lol.

  • SFD as already taken money out for swimming lessons. Had a lovely walk this morning so that is my exercise for today. Although I am contemplating a swim and steam tonight at the gym. Enjoying the exercise, makes life easier, helps with stress and reduces my pain. Thanks NSK. L2B.x

  • Weekly Update:-

    SFDs: 5/20

I'm quite amazed but I have not spent anything since the food shop Last Thursday, except for the Food Bank challenge. I thought I was going to have to part with money for a Body Pump class I went to today, with a friend, but her son works there and let me in on a complimentary pass, with another free pass for next week.

Food budget: £132/£360 and Lunches for work.

We have eaten really well, I have done packed lunches for all the family, each day, and I have at least ten days worth of food left before I need to shop again.

    Foodbank: £10/£5

I heard through the grapevine that a single mum, I know, who has five children, was really struggling over the holidays because of problems with her benefits getting paid, so I spent £10.00 on some staples and gave her a few bags of stuff from my storecupboard, enough to last her until the kids get back to school. We do not have a food bank in our local area!

    Exercise sessions: 4/15

40 km cycled in three sessions and one Body Pump class.

    AFD: 6/28

I was originally going to go for a dry January, but we have 7 bottles of decent wine in the garage, and no plans to go out anywhere, so I compromised. Saturday night is going to be our date night, where DH and I will take it in turns to make a really nice meal for each other with candles and half a bottle of wine each. We started it this week and it was very enjoyable.

My plan for the coming week is to add in a badminton class with DS and earn £80.00 extra through three mystery shops and selling some of DS's clothes on ebay.

Keep up the great work everyone!

  • Good Evening Hobbits!!!

So this thread moves super fast - I am trying to think of a better way of managing it OR moving it entirely to a seperate independant website but that means thinking of ways for people to interact the same or better than they do here - which would mean less pages to trawl through. If any of you have ideas please let me know or better still if you know someone who would offer pro bono work in assisting in setting up a website I would do that. Means I would be able to keep going whilst I travel which would be very time consuming using MSE and something I intend to end in October of this year. :(:(:(:( - so answers on a postcard please! I have ideas, a lot of them, but don't know how to piece it all together! :o

TiptoesDB - as a consolation prize for the above mentioned disappearing act I will be posting a picture of me and Mog to put all your worries to rest - although I think someone thinks I might resemble little Jack Monroe.. which I found cute.. wrong but cute! :rotfl:although I do wonder about you lot though...:)

KUTAT - you are sick because you don't eat fruit enough! :rotfl:... incidentally Dorothy The Mog took a fit the other day and attacked my banana that I took out of my gym bag and left on my bed. She chewed the stalk, smacked it a few times, flipped it over and then hid from it... weirdo... you don't act like that do you?? There isn't anything funnier than the "twack twack" noise of a cat pad-slapping a banana!

Oh did I mention THE LANDLADY IS AWAY FOR TWO WEEKS AND SHE LEFT THIS MORNING!!! :j:j:j:j

So - archery was AMAZING! I hit the bullseye on my first go ( 8 meters away for those in the know) - then twice on my second go but since I was getting to cocky according to The Universe my third arrow went up and over the entire target and land at the back of the hall. Whoops! Don't worry there were a few more bullseye scores after this..

I remembered the days of old skool skill back home losing my brothers arrows in the hedge and managed to score pretty well - lost the little competition though as one important arrow went up and over again ( I wasn't the only one doing this by the way ). However at the end the instructor wanted arrows for Britain on red, white and blue. I DID IT! So proud of myself. Am looking to book a course now but it's £125. I need to have a little think but I like the coaches, the venue was ok to reach and I wanna shoot more often. So that extra £150 left over from my deposit money is going to this!

There were shooters who were experianced there using targets at 18 meters. Some with amazing aluminium bows but the one that stood out had a perfect wooden bow with arrows to match - clearly and elf wannabe.

BUT I AM TOO! Watch out Hobbits you're leader is about to become an elf!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway - late log in for me as I have someone who sits a little behind me. Lovely chap but he is much much high position than me, although not my boss in any way it still looks bad if I am here! So apologies for that!

Anyway enough of that. Ebayer coming to pick up his "I have been ripped off" bundle of my burlesque books he won for £36. I have 22 people watching my teacup bundle and I am hoping another £50 would be coming my way... If anyone knows what pasties are they are on there for £20 if you're interested - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and I should be finding another few things to list by the weekend.

Another friend who though he was trundling through life just fine has been inspired and is coming round on Sunday for a feed and a chat about the best way to rid him self of £10k this year. He is excited and hitting overtime like a beast so hopefully I can help him through to the bitter end.

Incidentally just cause I leave MSE doesn't mean I leave you. If I can't get a website up and running by then I will be consturcting a basic blog so we can all at least keep in contact. I want you all debt free but am worried that it won't look as professional as MSE or have as many fun :p:D:cool:;) as these!

Anyway - it would be good to hear your thoughts.

Just want to extend a big :(:(:( to Xspender. Horrid feeling you are having to deal with - hope you get landed with a bit of cash to see you through to another job. Are you looking for more jobs now? Is it a guarantee that you yourself are being made redundant though..?

Okay.. enough from me for now!!

    Hi everyone

NSK Lol to dotty Dorothy the Mog's banana fight :rotfl:Where will she reside when you are on your travels? Do you have an ingenious plan to smuggle her in your rucksack?? :p

Today ended up being semi productive, I decided to go for a 30 minute woodland wander while the sun made an appearance so another tick in the exercise box for me ;)

I didnt get around to reading work stuff, I had a lazy duvet afternoon reading 'Quiet' and have just washed my hair ready for tomorrow's 6 o clock start!

So another SFD for me and a grand total of 7. I meal planned this afternoon and because I will be working the next 6 days, and shifts usually equate SFDs, I am hoping to do 12 in a row! So we shall see!

Early night tonight, Nighty night folks
