    So my totals so far...
    SFD 4/20
    exercise 2/15
diesel £50/£50 (this is looking like it will last the month, first time I have ever really noticed properly how much we spend on fuel)
still not food shopped yet so still at £16.16/£125. The freezer is looking less full, and so are my cupboards, although it does lead to some mix and match teas which the kids are finding quite amusing! Did well yesterday, asked dad to pick me some milk up while he was out, and then he wouldnt accept any money for it so an extra no spend day! love my dad :)
Have joined my friends in a lose weight get healthy mission, think it should be good. We all pay £2 a week, and then weigh in, and whoever loses the most weight that week wins all the £2s! There are 5 of us, so £10 up for grabs each week, much better value than Weightwatchers etc.
So my pledge this week is to do 10,000 steps a day which will help with the exercise (I currently do about 5000 steps a day) so the pedometer is on and now I should get off my chair and the PC and do some walking!
Have a great day everyone :)

Thriftylass - Amazon sellers can be a bit of a pain when it comes to returning things, I bought something a few months ago for £30 and free delivery, it wasn't right for the job so I returned it at my expense and they refunded me £24 only, they take off the postage costs from when they originally sent it. I opened a dispute but got nowhere.

SFD hopefully today, kids go back to swimming club tonight and when I was getting the bag ready it occurred to me that their ASA membership fees are due this month so that's £50, I will have to try and delay that till after payday.

After a few emails to and fro they now offered to refund with postage if I send it back (if the item was in same condition as send out). To give them no chance of disputing the state of the item I just excepted their other offer of a 50% refund and to keep the item.

On another positive note, my DD for gas and leccy will only go up by £30 to £84 rather than double to a 100. Yay... Last month we used £120 but basically had the heating on for 3 weeks 24/7 whereas now it's back on a timer and at a lower temp, so the usage should go way down again.

    Afternoon folks :)

Am hoping for another SFD today as I intend to stay at home all day long bimbling about before going back to work tomorrow :(

Have made quite a bit of quorn bolognese this morning after defrosting yellow sticker quorn and mushrooms. I think this will make 4 lunches to work and last until Saturday! I can't refreeze again so I'm hoping it wont upset my system if I keep it refrigerated for that length of time.. if you don't hear from me towards the weekend you will know what's happened ;)

I have done a bit of job searching this morning to no avail.. This afternoon, Im going to read up on work related stuff and maybe have a day off from exercise ;).

Have a good day all

    Good Afternoon

Just popping in to say hello. Went back to work yesterday - it was the longest Monday ever but proud that I didn't succumb to the temptation of the coffee machine - its a Rijo and costs £1 per cup and I definately haven't budgeted for it this month! My sciatica is playing up so after a rubbish nights sleep I took the dog for a good walk this morning which really helped. Ebay sales gone OK but even though the most expensive item has been won I have a feeling the bidder will not pay up as they only have one feedback star and only started in December - I will give them a few days and see what pans out. Anyway the scores on the doors so far are -

    SFD 3/20
    Exercise - 4/20
    Lunch - 2/20
    Brand downshift 1/5

Enjoy the rest of your day folks!!!

Today is complicated but I am classing it as a spend-free day.

Went shopping with my Mum to morries and she bought me some food (if you remember, she owed me a tenner from yesterday's trip to co$tco). So I didn't pay anything in Morries.

I have sorted out my "pots" as I am doing two challenges (£1 a day and the weekly challenge) so I withdrew my £132 from my budget account... no going back now!!

However, I wasn't counting that as a spend as I didn't actually spend anything, I just moved money around.
    :o

So... today is spend-free day number 4. (Hope this isn't bending the rules too much).

Just a quick one again. Bit of animal fodder shopping today, sawdust and the like. At the same time decided to take the plunge and I now own bathroom scales - so big weigh in and healthy living starts shortly. Put the money spent on it into my food budget - that way eat less lol.
Have a good folks will catch on reading when snug on my couch later, easier to post on big computer than a tablet.
