No, sadly nothing to look forward to besides the 30 days being over. My school took the decision that we need twilights so will be finished 2 days earlier in the summer (i prefer this). I am being obsed by the head this half term for PM which is slightly worrying (!) but we'll get there ...
We had Quality Assurance last term so had to be observed by SLT and this term is PM. Wish they would just leave us to teach!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

A satisfying day here: NSD 3, and day 5/5 no sugar or grains. :j Dd started going through her books and has a big pile for the charity shop. Tho I will have a quick look on bookselling sites to see if any of it's worth anything.
I got a scaled-down version of an knitted owl started - have done body and 1 wing. T'other wing tomorrow, stuff and sew wings and eyes and nose on.
I'd thought we were running out of veg, and found a couple of 'use me NOW' bits in the fridge, so decided to make soup. Ended up including onions, chorizo, potato, celeriac, courgette, coriander and purple cabbage. I now have a delicious purple soup! And realised that no, we were not running low on veg!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Evening all,
Not much to report here, had a dull day indoors tidying around the house. All Christmas dec's went into boxes too. Rather sad actually!
3rd SFD today but no further exercise. Must do better this week...
Yesterday was a spend day, spent £39 on groceries. Tomorrow I'll be taking some presents back. Clothes for the baby will be changed for gift card for future use. A kitchen gadget will be exchanged for a heater which is sorely needed. So fairly MSE I think :money:
As tomorrow will be a spend day I will get further groceries, household stuff and petrol. With luck that should be all the spending I do before the weekend
Hope your all having great weekendsFinally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!

Total CC & overdraft: £5827, planned DFD= 31.12.140 -
Hello Everyone
I have had two spend days as yesterday had all my appointments ( to save future SFD) and today took the in laws out for dinner as they are down to visit and needed a few essentials from the shop. Hopefully tomorrow will be a SFD as going to try and get to a early morning circuit class  and pay some money in the bank ..just need to stay away from the sales !!!
Have managed 5 days without chocolate woo hoo :j
Have been feeling a little meh this weekend, hoping its just post xmas blues and as i say "this shall pass"
Missv30 & themarsbargirl I understand the stresses of the job i work in residential care (supported living) with LD and have to do shift work i am sure you both do an amazing job :A.. I hope one day to work in a school or similar this could be a 2014 goal will have to wait and see
Anyways sorry for the long post ... you are all doing amazing
Will check in tomorrow xx0 -
Haha, I see the quote query was sorted PhoeniX!
I hope so Tiptoes lol! Its when I start fiddling and editing quotes that the box disappears!
So, another day draws to a close and 5 SFDs achieved. Had 2 friends visit at separate times so gained some cakes :j Im pretty sure that the next 2 days have the potential to be SFDs but Im not too sure about Wednesday as Im back in work for 6 shifts and will need to buy food and fruit for work. Hopefully 5 of those shifts can also be SFDs. I have 40 litres fuel so it should last me the month. Im desperate to keep my overdraft as low as possible this month because next month might be expensive what with car insurance, my mums birthday and a big shop planned! I want to be sure that these will be covered and that I will be in the black for once come pay day! :T
Chalked up another exercise session this afternoon when I went out for a good brisk walk.. I also plan to walk to the bank tomorrow (for advice re savings account) so will have another exercise session then!
Hope you are all keeping ok,
Im off to bed to listen to the wind and rain
Nighty night all :wave:Ninja Saving Turtle

failed NSD after c00p had innocent veg pots for 97p EACH (bargain!) so i bought 5; then my weeks supply of coke and mini rolls as back to work tomrorowam actually really dreading it and had the nightmares about inspections since Friday. oh well it's a short HT and just need to hold on to that thought. need to sell some books and get some more dosh together...
I haven't had the nightmares yet but expecting them to start tonight. As for you, they usually feature the chance of inspection, or unruly kids (a class of which I have tomorrow, so its not really a nightmare but more like a premonition!).
Just done some planning too
Only 6 weeks until HT? Do you have insets/course/trips to look forward to?
We have one training day insetanimals visitors in on Friday
and I have three entire days of coursework (so don't have to teach my normal lessons
)
When I was teaching Spring term was always my favourite because it's so short and Spring is starting to start and things are starting to grow again
Always used to over plan though:rotfl:
Pleased to report SFD number 3 :T we managed to get to my parents and back without needing additional fuel, we were fed very well so haven't needed any tea just a few left over Christmas party food from the freezer
Tomorrow will be a quiet day as last day of the holidays and want to do some craft with the DC and get sorted for the week.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Evening... sadly no spend-free day today. Was struggling on nightshift so ended up spending £2.00 on vending machine snacks.
Doesn't change budgets as it was £2 that I found in my workbag.
Diet is going pretty well though, although I have been working so no exercise as yet. (diet started 3/1).
Hope you all have had a good day... see you tomorrow.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
Savings: £0/£64000 -
Just checking in, but without time to read back..sorry...I hope you are all well and keeping to the rules!!
NSD today...the out-laws (ex's parents) came for an Epiphany supper tonight, board games, roast, then Epiphany cake to follow (yes, I know, its tomorrow). DD was crowned queen - I managed to discreetly snag the token into her piece while I was cutting it, but we have a tradition that the youngest is under the table allocating the slices, so it was still a fluke that she won :rotfl:
Made supper from storecupboard including a few of my xmas-eve-reduction-swag :rotfl:
Discovered loft is damp when I was preparing it to put xmas decs up.Not looking forward to playing hunt the leak, AGAIN. Have invited neighbours in for a cuppa 2mrw night to make a plan. Not sure how that will go, they are a bit distant. But we all seem to be having problems so worth getting a combined quote, I reckon.
Then tidied bathroom in prep for guest arriving and discovered another wet wall in the back of airing cupboard. Lots of our toiletries got damp, some had gone yucky and to be chucked. Its dried out now after being emptied and left open so no idea where that was coming from.
Sorted loft so it is decent to show folk the damp. I've got 16 miscellaneous boxes that need sorting up there. Will someone dare me to blitz them by the end of the month?? I reckon its doable but have put it off for the nearly 2 years we've been here so far...
Managed to get onto ebay within the window and listed 4 things. Slightly proud of myself as this is a fairly new venture for me, and I was tempted to curl up with a book instead, but you guys spurred me on. Fingers crossed. Discoverd 2 of the things I put aside to sell were actually very useful - listed one anyway and started using the other.
Paying guest has turned up and seems very nice. He is here long enough to pay off just over 1% of my debt :money:. And had an inquiry from another for later in the month.
Thats all folks. Miserable cold is still here so exercise still at a big fat zero.
Good luck on Monday folks. We'll have nearly cracked the first week!

I'd love to see a photo of the purple soup if you can
As I put it into pots for storage, it crossed my mind that it had turned out a lovely deep purple, but that with the usual thick soupy textire, it also looked quite unpalatable! Does taste scrummy, tho.
Fraid I've not sussed how to post pictures. Heck, I've only just mastered the quoting malarky! And even then, I still get it wrong, as I'm using a tablet not a laptop.
Back to school today. Last term's unexpected change of management means that today will be rather intensive! But good. Very very good. Ver very good indeedy! Hang ona mo - better wait til the end of the day to say that...!
Those of you working in residential care or with kiddies with learning or behavioural issues have my total respect. (thumbs up smiley here!)
Planning to be a NSD and also sugar and grain free. On training days we all bring in food to share for lunch - it's usually a massive feast! However it's usually not gluten-free so I always take food to share plus my own lunch! So should be easy to stick to plan. The sugar's usually the issue, but I'm 2lbs down from last Weds and don't want to spoil that.
Enough wittering. Time to get up, prepare breakfasts and wake up a littl'un. Have a great mse day!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
