What a lovely feeling Phoenix
sure putting into savings doesn't count as SFD as you are not spending any money, just moving it?
Nsk- try jacks spinach and lentil dal. It's so yummy. I buy frozen spinach as it lasts forever but made it with some ys kale at the weekend which was also yummynot sure if the recipe is for red lentils but I make it with red as I also have a massive bag!
I can't remember who it was who said their stick blender had broke. I got mine from either argos value or asda smart price for about £5 and its great! I also make smoothies with mine as my blender leaking!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

I got to bed at 0100 last night and up at 0500 - faffed around getting clothing to do for the day PLUS the archery lesson tonight, food for the entire day so I can avoid shops, my gym kit and a suitable coat .... I just want to sleep!
Kat after all the hard graft you have put in at work and on the threads, you deserve a few duvet days with the mogg :A.. And since you have no overtime for the next fortnight, maybe a good rest on those days off will do you the world of good :T Maybe its a good thing you didnt get the extra shifts so you can re charge properlyNinja Saving Turtle

Yes Clippy_girl the same thought crossed my mind actually but because I havent got that money in the first place to put into savings, its technically increasing my overdraft, so I will be good and do the transfer on pay day :ANinja Saving Turtle

Duvet days with moggy, tarka dhal or maybe some spinach.. I think I can live with that!! Pheonix what an emotional day for you - such a great feeling eh! Bank manager was teary eyed because he can't get any more interest off you - lol!
I am off to the gym now, if I hit it hard I will have my 20 minute x 3 sessions done already - but that's just the start - oh yes it is!
A quick nip to Cotswold Outdoorsy store for rucksack bag trying on time and then archery - wish me luck - and for those standing near my when I shoot...;-)“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Oof I'm bored at work and struggling not to go out for 'entertainment'. Already planned to go to the free gallery tomorrow lunchtime and a free concert on Wednesday lunchtime and need to go to ELC on Thursday lunchtime to pick up one of DS birthday presents so just need to pass the next 2 hours before I can go home!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Spendy day today as expected, DS's 8th birthday today. He got £80 cash from various sources, the kids always get £30 from my Mum and Dad and they keep £20 and put £10 in the bank, today without any prompting from me he put a total of £25 in the bank from his £80.
Spends for me and DH are as follows:
£4.73 spent in Boots on a perfume gift set and a FCUK gift set, I used £20 in vouchers from doing surveys for the rest.
£1 spent in Debenhams on another perfume gift set, shower gel and body lotion, paid for the remainder with a £16 loyalty voucher and beauty club points.
Very pleased overall.
Also £2 spend in Sainsbobs, DS wanted crisps and coke so we got a meal deal and me and DH ate the sandwich and gave him the £2.
Last spend of the day will be fish and chips for tea so will declare £11 spend for that now.
Tomorrow will be SFD but need to do my weekly grocery shop on Wednesday.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Have had a NSD so far today. Really intrigued to find out whether DH has or hasn't managed to do one too!
Batch cooked/ froze a chicken lasagne, soup and a fruit crumble. Will do the same with a bacony/ tomatoey sauce we like on pasta later.
Added a couple of things to the charity shop bag. I'm unsure whether to add a metal steamer to the pile. It is missing its lid and one handle off one of the steaming trays, so it's deffo incomplete. But it works fine (just use a saucepan lid) and it seems such a waste to bin it. I'm only getting rid of it because I was given a new one for Christmas. But then I don't want to dump things on the CS........."Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0 -
Ok, so Jillian Michaels and de cluttering hasn't happened yet but I spent a good hour on the phone to StepChange, first direct and 2 other DCA's to sort a debt out, finally got a definitive answer about the actual outstanding balance, notified StepChange who had it at £5000 when it's actually £769! So that'll be paid off in the next couple of months!!
I already knew I didn't owe that much so it wasn't included in my signature but I think we're looking at £4865. Will wait until my StepChange statement is updated before I adjust my DFD etc
Sorry to go off topic!
