Hi Rising
Good news re the CCP claim.
Re the earmuffs- do you have a John Lewis or Waitrose nearby as JL online has reduced aromatherapy earmuffs and also reduced hearmuffs £4.50 (but can be used with out headphones)?
Sorry can't post links but if you search under earmuffs/ hearmuffs they come up.

There's stores in town & should be up in a couple of weeks when I'm on hols so will pop in and see if they've still got them (a 2nd pair would be really handy for work!;))

They're unlikely to have any that cheap in a couple of weeks as it'll be "proper" winter stuff in then that's not on sale. I would call them and find out how long they keep stuff in their warehouse before returning it as you can do click and collect for the JL in town and it's free of charge :money:0 -
mmmm fab idea Moo
Just had a look at their FAQs and ....
'We keep Click & collect and Collect+ orders in store for 7 days.'
So ..... if they've still got them in a couple of days then I'll def do thatGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I'm on my hollibags! :j
Finally! It's been a long summer waiting for them to arrive!!!
Busy week ahead:
Today
- taking car to garage this morning(I have a rattle - it's not bad but it's a new car so ......)
- popping into Ocean Terminal for some errrrr 'sightseeing' after I've been to the garage- I do need another pair of work trousers for the winter
- stop at B&Q on way home as I need paint to repaint 1 wall in the lounge (see below!)
- continue to sort out garage (as new car won't fit inI can now start making proper storage out there!) 1st step has been to move the huge unit out the lounge BUT it was put in before I painted
hence the trip to B&Q ...
- paint 'missing' part of wall
- take Maisie somewhere nice for a walk
Tomorrow
- Mum's coming up & we're going to townshe needs curtains for her new house so a trip to Dunelm is on the cards! (I don't need anything so watch this space!)
- stop at carpet place in town along the road - lounge carpet is really horrid & was cream  (previous owners put it in to 'sell' the house but it's really not practical to live with .... especially with dogs  several 'accidents' over the years and lounge leads straight out to the back garden = dog / muddy feet in winter ). Looking for an off-cut in a darker colour / mottly effect for a reasonable price IYKWIM so keep your fingers crossed!
- paint whole wall
Weds
- free!
Thurs
- meeting one of my pals from Fife in town
Fri
- M&Ds
That's it so far!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Just a quick update ..... on hols!
Mum arrived yesterday with the chest freezer that'd been left at their new house by the previous owners
Mine (with drawers) has been playing up and is filling with ice (there must be a leak somewhere) even though it's been defrosted twiceit is old (came from mum & dad!) and doesn't owe any of us anything
She had been using it but they've got a bit upright one so have turned that on instead - saves me having to buy another one :T
Not sure whether to put the old on on the local ads board and say if someone wants it to come & take it - it may just need a new seal - any thoughts?
Painted the wall in the lounge yesterdayand ended up going round all 3 cream walls
- thought I might as well brighten it up before the new carpet goes down and I had plenty of paint
Off to town shortly (mileage has been horrendous this week - this is the 4th time I've been & I've also been to M&Ds too:o) to meet my pal ......Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I would offer it up...if nothing else someone moves it without you getting the new car dirty0

LOL!
There is that BUT we get free special uplifts here
They did start charging for them a couple of years ago - silly amount (something like £35) and, like everyone told them it would, there was loads of fly-tipping
So they've now gone back to them being free - although you do have to wait longer for the stuff to be collected
I don't know why they can't go mid way and make it something like £5 or £10 which (most) people would be relatively happy to pay *sigh*
TBH I will need to book one anyway for the old carpet ...... I'm now thinking I may keep the wire baskets from the old freezer (fit into the new one) to help with organising it!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Hi Rising, congrats on your fabulous OD news :j:T
I don't know why they are the hardest thing to get rid of but it seems so for a lot of people. I finally got rid of mine with back pay last year and it took me a while to get used to in the nicest possible way :rotfl:
