    No,

YBS are NatWest's customer not someone saving at YBS.
NatWest have no access to YBS customer data.

I was wondering if Natwest checked the OP as well as YBS, especially as the OP had a previous relationship with Natwest?

Surely that must be the easiest check for Natwest to perform?

Of tax code from hmrc (which is what i originally sent and they said wasn't good enough!)

So lets wait for a reply and see what they say..

Failing that i now have a TALK HOME CAT CARD ACCOUNT which is really quite good, i can use any newsagent with PayPoint to put money in, (some newsagents are 24 hours :) ) no charges as such, just £1 withdrawal fee, and fee's to transfer to others, only problem is i cant have dirwct debits but apparently they're introducing it soon. Thats why i need this ybs account

As i wait for YBS to accept my application seeing as im sending my passport, i ventured into basic accounts finding out nationwide offer a cash card account. I phoned them and asked if they do a credit check on this account and they don't. She said even though i have bad credit, i still should get accepted as people that apply for the flex current account usually get rejected and offered this one.
In my case i got declined, im thinking the woman fave me false information and as i applied online, i got rejected. I may go directly into nationwide with my bankruptcy discharge papers (when i receive) them and directly ask them to open a cash card account for me, as there i cant pose as any risk on this type of account without the access of a chequebook or overdraft..

    Look:

    1) Have you written to CIFAS with a postal order for £10 asking for a subject access request?

If YES: wait for the results, and then post again
    If NO: do it

Applying for stuff will not help. You need to do the above, now.

    Your real, actual passport?
So lets wait for a reply and see what they say..

    Probably along the lines of:

"THANK YOU FOR SENDING AN APPLICATION FORM FOR OUR CASH TRANSACTOR CARD ACCOUNT

UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO PROCESS WITH OPENING AN ACCOUNT FOR YOU

PLEASE FIND ENCLOSED YOUR CHEQUE FOR £100 AND THE IDENTIFICATION THAT YOU SENT ALONG WITH YOUR APPLICATION. I HAVE DESTROYED YOUR APPLICATION FORM FOR YOU."

Why are people so concerned about sending a passport by mail?
At the end of the day, most new passports get mailed by the Passport Office. And many embassies process visa applications by post (that is more relevant for non-UK citizens)

    If it goes missing:

    - Chance of identity theft
    - Additional hassle of reporting your passport lost (requires posting forms and proof of id)
    - A replacement costs £72.50 and may require an interview to prove your identity along with original documents such as birth certificate

Passports lost by the passport office are not RFID activated until you remove the protective strip, and will be cancelled and replaced without charge.

The costs are covered by the special delivery Compensation Cover.
Identity theft is similarly possible with copies, especially certified.
    Interview is pretty unlikely IMO.
