Internet banking has finally caught up, and it looks like I have made a payment and not accounted for it on here. So now my total is :

    #038 £56.58 / £4016.44

I am going to have to find a way of keeping track of the payments better.

so so so SO tired!!! and its only tuesday! :(

OH and I want to book a holiday this year! I think if I can pay off two debts (leaving me with 2) then I'd be happy to book the holiday. We haven't had one since 2011 so I guess it's time for one!

Where are you thinking of for your holiday? :)

Well just called Barclay Card and arranged for them to take my payment out during my first week of pay rather than the week before I get paid, unfortunatly it can not be changed for this month, but starting from next month it has been, which will make it easier for me to then be able to pay off extra on my debts as I will know for sure where I stand.

I live on my own so the support will be very much needed! I have no-one to ask me about my spending or keep an eye on me!

I'm in a similar situation myself and half my income goes on my mortgage and then bills on top which leaves me very little to survive and pay my debts off

Are you both on water meters? I also live alone / have a mortgage and have found that my water bill is almost a savings account, I'm always in credit! I should probably get them to lower my monthly payments but they aren't too much (£26.69) and I quite enjoy letting it build up and withdrawing £100 or so every 6 months. Certainly helps make a dent in the debt. Only downside is they send a cheque and it takes 2 weeks :p

So I phoned the loan bank for an update and it seems the interest has been adjusted and my balance owing is now £6,330 - I never thought I would see it this low. So please updated my total

    #5 £677 / £7,007

    thanks :)
  • Ok, so first update... some little payments made following some spare cash I've managed to put aside after all my monthly outgoings and working to my budget for this month...

    086 £112.73/£5,500

Fingers crossed, I should be able to start putting £400 each month towards this debt too, and any extra I can make/save will also be added. I'm feeling confident! :)
  • Hi - so this is my first post of reducing my debt - not as great as I hoped as had extra £££ in my salary this month.
