Two bank payments made today which makes my new total:

    #79 £621.73/£10,082

leaving me with a balance of £9460.27. Trying to think of ways to get it down to 9K by the end of the month. Thank goodness for the frugal living thread, cutting my costs by loads. :-)
  • Well done everyone on all the payments so far! We have paid off a pretty fantastic sum, I can't wait to see what we have managed come the end of January!

I got my weekly balance text today, and have hardly touched my bank account since last week. I am hopeful I can keep it up through this weekend as well - I need to go to town to get to the healthy bits from H&B, and will have to resist going into one of my favourite shops next door!
  • I am assuming that when people state the amounts paid off that they have removed any interest charged at least that's what I have done so I now it's definate amount from debt. I am determined that my debt total will not increase and I am trying hard not to think about the amount of interest paid :-( still fingers crossed it will only be the next year or two and I will be debt free :-)

I don't include the bank fees I pay for my overdraft, I just budget for them separately, so the amount paid off really is the amount my debt has reduced
  • Cant it's up to you how you account for it, if you are paying off all your debts then probably easier to absorb the interest, as otherwise you have to change your total debt each month.

I have just now worked out how much I had left over last month - a grand total of £25! So an update from me:

    #004 275/3500=7.86%

Have spent my evening setting up various direct debits. If I squirrel the money away, I can't spend it! Although I now have too many accounts to remember all the log in details for...

Hi, can I be added please?

    So far I am £500 / £11,836 :)

Planning is hard for me as I'm self employed and although it is steady income, there's no job security making it hard to plan too far in advance what I can do with regards to debt busting. It worries me a lot!

We are thinking of a baby too money dependant although this won't be considered until DFD is reached.

Sorry I can't figure out editing the amount font or size on the touchscreen!
    Happy!
