I'm going to try - just over £10,500 to declare. Snowballing says 14 months, so we'll see....

Hello suzitiger! Nice to "see" you again!

And what a great introduction. I feel i ought to do something now...

Hi, I'm Jonesy and i'm the 3rd helper on this thread (only minicooper can update the front page but we can update the master spreadsheet/give numbers etc etc). I joined this site last year with £10000 to clear and achieved 65% of this in 2013, leaving £3500 to clear this year before i move on to building my savings for a family and family house.

    Little Vics :T - Welcome to the thread, you're #112 with a £10500 target

Some great early payments rolling in everyone, i'm jealous!

    Spreadsheet updated to here.

Hi everyone, I feel like I'm off to a bit of a slow start too but just remember every little helps. It'll soon start adding up (or coming down). I stood in boots today and fought with myself over buying half price gift sets in the sale (I know there's probably going to be a 75% off sale soon but won't be able to make it due to work). I had to say to myself is this a 'need' or a 'want' and managed to walk out feeling pleased with myself for resisting. It can be so hard with temptation around. When I got home I quickly transferred over another £30 so I wouldn't be tempted to spend it on anything.

That puts me on #052 £95/£1900

Paid off £16,715/£16,550 by Christmas 2013
Now to pay off all remaining debts by Christmas 2014

    Only £9,413.03 to go
  • Hi suzitiger
Have a chat with Stepchange (used to be Consumer Credit Counselling Service) we had to go with them 8 years ago and they deal with the banks and everyone for you. After lots of hassel with phone callers from those we owed money to, it was lovely to say "'you'll have to speak to CCCS as they are dealing with everything now". We have 4 payments to go now and can't wait :)
If you want to pm please feel free to do so x

  • Hi everyone

thanks for the number, I shall add it to my signature

    I have paid off a whole £25 (it's a start :))

I've got some cash that I need to pay in to my account, but don't know when I'm going to get to the bank, although I guess I could pay the money out of my account and then use the cash when I need it, hmm I'll think about that one!

Lol minicooper! I suppose the first payment should have the 48p, but sadly not - the dd for one of the cc's has come out of the bank so I'm off the starting block, but not with the 48p involved!

    so here goes........

    # 102 - £56.41/£8696.48

I get the feeling I'll be dealing with odd pence right until the end, but I suppose they all add up!

they most certainly do add up to become £££ :D

Well I couldn't wait any longer so I paid off the 'odd' numbers in my bank account to leave a rounded figure in them - only managed £18 so not even 1% but I guess it all adds up eventually. I won't bother updating figures until my dd's go out and I'm thinking I may try to round my payment up to 10% if I can. I'm doing a weekly shopping challenge and I'm doing well so far at being under budget so I'm thinking that I should try and pay the money saved off my cards rather than let it get swallowed up in every day to day living.
