I didn't really do any pre-MOT checks - I just had it serviced around 6 weeks ago, so I knew the oil and water would all be fine, and I did a bulb change 4 weeks ago. The car is now 10 Y.O., 90k miles, so it's a nervous time when it goes for an MOT!
I think I will treat the car to a full valet as a reward! I have never paid someone else to do one for me before, but it's picked up a lot of spiders and I'm too scared to do one myself!
Great news on the car but as always with life that sucks you got done over by that LL for your new flat. Hope you can find something soon.
We were wanting to get some rescue cats for our flat but the landlord said as part of his leasehold that no animals were allowed in the buildings. It destroyed my fiancee as she was sooo wanting some cats.
I wish I had the money to get our own home then we could do what we wanted.
Your car is a baby compared to mine haha mine is 12.5 years old, done 112k but as like yours passed the last MOT with flying colours. No advisories but they did tell me it was hard work getting it through the emissions test. Partly my fault for not going out and giving it a long blast on the motorway.0 -
So sorry to hear about the flat Minicooper but that's good news about the MOT!
I've made a double payment of £1040 today so my total paid is £1881.44 so far.
It has been too complicated to have the separate virtual overdraft rolled up on here too and so I've decided to tackle my original debt by Christmas and rebuild my savings pots separately.
No 100 £1881.44/£5411.64 = 34.8% with £3530.20 still to pay.
And I will be trying cash envelopes again in August as I am still letting myself spend more than I've budgeted - this needs to STOP!0 -

Beers all round -
Just about to finish this post and realised haven't updated my pay day payments. Still paying over half my monthly income to debts and living off very little money. No holidays or spending on anything but essentials until I am completely free of credit cards and loans.
