I will hit 60% this month with some extra over payments!

Well my car PASSED without a single problem. First time ever! :j:j About 5 advisories (need to clean the window wipers
, a little bit of wear on the coils and axle), but nothing too urgent.
Have you done the usual bulbs/tyres/fumes checks? Hopefully nothing else will crop up. How old is the car? Any advisories from last year?
I didn't really do any pre-MOT checks - I just had it serviced around 6 weeks ago, so I knew the oil and water would all be fine, and I did a bulb change 4 weeks ago. The car is now 10 Y.O., 90k miles, so it's a nervous time when it goes for an MOT!
I think I will treat the car to a full valet as a reward! I have never paid someone else to do one for me before, but it's picked up a lot of spiders and I'm too scared to do one myself!0 -
:mad::mad: We had a flat lined up for my big move, had guaranteed the landlord that we'd be taking it, and I'd be up on Saturday if we could meet then to sign leases and let him vet us. We just had a call to say the landlord has now let it out to someone else. I'm quite annoyed, because we were promised they weren't showing it to anyone else, and had stopped looking at what else is available. Now it's going to be a mad rush to get other viewings lined up for the few hours I'll be there! I had started to research what was in the area too, and was really excited. Now I am determined I want a flat in the same location, but nothing else is available...0

Ah Minicooper what a nightmare! Landlords are so self-serving, I'd rather if they were going to keep looking for tennants they'd just say so instead of letting you get your hopes up!

My thoughts exactly. If they had their reservations about us, let us know so we can try to sort it out. If they're going to show lots of people and take their pick, tell us, but we were led to believe it was a first come first served situation...0 -

Another payment towards the car made today. Now I'm at £7148.73/£10,000. More to do tomorrow.0 -
Well done kirsty driver on hitting 50%!
Unlucky with the flat minicooper, harsh to have thought it was yours and then find out its gone. Landlords are a nightmare sometimes, I live with mine so I speak from experience! Hope you find somewhere else even better!

I hope you get your flat sorted Minicooper. You must be absolutely fuming. It's wrong that landlords can mess people around like this.

Morning all, sorry to hear about the flat Minicooper, it was obviously not meant to be and there will be something come along round the corner that you don't know about yet! The same thing has happened to me in the past and I've been gutted but in the end it was for the best, try to remain positive.
On the money front regular overpayment to mortgage gone out and very excitably had an email and a 'symbol' off the MSE team showing that I am debt free, what a lovely surprise and a really good motivation for me to keep plodding on!
