  • well ive been away from here for a few weeks trying to get my head sorted as I am starting to have quite big mood swings from really happy to really low. currently my finances appear like a complete lost cause with little hope left I will pay it off as business has been dire :(

found out one reason it has been so dire, some of the software on one of our websites had a bug which was putting buyers off, fixed that and its returned to being where we expected at this time of year, trouble is the financial damage from 6 weeks of being dead is definately being felt in the NLID household with the daily post consisting of 1 or 2 normal bills, and 5 or 6 debt chasers wanting a piece of me.

Nothings changed in about 6 weeks, made the mortgage payment by the skin of my teeth, but no overpayments:( need to pay ebay before they cut my account off and force me to give up and go bankrupt. I dont even know the balances of most of my debts now, as my spreadsheet got lost when my laptop's hard drive decided 6 years was enough and it was going to die :(

its good to see everyone on here is doing so well - Good luck to all of you!

Oh dear! NLID you're just not having much luck at all. Fingers crossed you get a massive surge in business soon! I'm sure you've probably heard of sites like Dropbox before, but that's where I keep a copy of my spreadsheet. It sits like a normal folder in my computer, I can access it offline, but when I'm online it will save a copy in the magical internet land. Worth mentioning, as it's free!

Well I'm just back from a long weekend for a friends wedding. It was such an expensive weekend, I think it has cost over £300 once you include train, dinners, gift, drinks and hotel. Absolutely lovely to see a load of old uni friends, and of course the bride! But I will be tightening my belt for the rest of the month.

Back to the business at hand - I've totted up the July totals, and am really pleased to say we have beaten June, paying off:

    £32,594.42

And welcoming 6 new members :j:j

We also have 1 new debt free member (well done Jonesy :T:T) and I'm getting rather excited about some of the totals I'm seeing - good luck for the month ahead everyone!!!

Excellent totals there everyone !! Only 5 more paydays left for me and I have £1700 left. Not sure I can squeeze that much out of my salary. Especially with Xmas coming up. Better start buying stuff now in preperation.

Thankfully I have got my TV purchase Quidco payment coming this week - £74.94 which is a nice brucey bonus. Now all I need is the SKY TV cashback of £100 to be paid too.

Morning all #199 here. Been a delay in updating.

Payment made so now at 1295.57/3643.57

One of my 0% deals expires in Oct but not sure how well it's going to go from here as just brought myself a new to me car. Think I may now struggle getting it all paid off but still going to go for it.

    Thanks

Sorry about all the hassle you've had minicooper. :( Atleast your car didn't let you down. ;)

Nothing good to update financially. Just came on here to say a 'financial meh'. :( I know you'll understand how I'm feeling and have probably all been there. Big sigh. :wall:

  • Well done to all on the payments so far.

I have decided to use my savings to try & get the debt down a bit quicker so have paid some off today.

Also was stupidly spending money like crazy on another credit card & there ended up with £1119.00 on it - WHAT IS WRONG WITH MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

So that put my total up which I have updated below.

Well, I was made redundant in July, so used some of my package to pay off a few debts. Part of me wants to pay off everything, but the other part of me thinks its sensible to keep the cash in the bank until I have another job lined up.

£5933.66 paid off in July, making a total of £8503.99 for the year to date for #124

I've passed my target now, but that was based on me working at the time. I'll keep going with the challenge though, as I do want to pay off as much as I can
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done
