Did I tell you guys I bought a slow cooker? Going to attempt to make pulled pork tomorrow ..... If it turns out nice we have a winner! If not I've wasted money on a pork shoulder:rotfl:
Think we are going to change our v-rgin package around and buy the sky sports pass outright as it will save money over the year.
Also just got OH's car tax renewal letter through£126 for 6 months

Mine is £165 (I think) for 6 months so don't feel bad about that0

My car is £20 for the year :rotfl:
Not sure whether to wait or pay catalogue now... It may be tight if i do it now. Think I may wait til nearer payday and I know how muchc I have left.,,0 -
How much did you pay for the car though?
I bought an old car for £995 so the cost of tax against a new car with low tax is probably much better haha shame I have so many running costs.0 -
Woohoo paid off 2 more small debts today whoch leaves me with 3 big ones and one now small one(under £100) and one £34 one. Also paid off £50 each for the big ones so am feeling quite pleased with myself today.Once the last 2 small ones are gone I can really concentrate on the big ones.

Quite a lot :rotfl: when I've finished paying for it it will have been round about 8k. Running costs are very low and I've not had any major repair bills yet touch wood.
However OH has had his R reg car for about 1.5 years now and it has already cost about 3k to buy it, keep it taxed, the mots and lets not forget it is a serious fuel drinker!I think in the long run I'd rather pay out more for something newer but that's because of a bad experience and hefty repair costs on my first car... Which was only 10 when I got it so not really that old!

Yeah buying old bangers you do have to be very very lucky. To be fair as soon as I bought my car I did pay over £600 more to sort out the brake pads, discs and hubs. There was only 1 corner at fault but thought what the hell and got all of them done. Just wish I didn't have to pay so much tax haha0
