Morning all #199 here.
Payment made so now at £550.89/£3643.57
I currently have three 0% deals on this card all ending on different months within the year. One expires next month so hopefully will find enough to pay that and then work on the next two.
Thanks

Everyone is trying so hard, I'm really impressed with how well you are all doing! Well done 666paw a nd everyone! Argomatt, I'm pleased for you about your MOT going well..
I'm realising how difficult I find restraint and budgeting. There is an awful lot of month left at the end of the money!
I was checking my debt figures and somehow I got my amount wrong so here's a quick update:

AMR I know that feeling! Roll on payday on 30th!! I might experiment with leaving my purse at home to stop me spending.
Right, I can't seem to add up for toffee! I paid £11.64, £456.06 and £22.74 off my debt of £5411.64 which has a balance of £4921.20.
#100 £490.44/£5411.64 = 9%
Minicooper thanks to you and the others for looking after this thread - hopefully I won't need to do any more corrections!0 -

Good day all, it's the Captain from the South Coast here. No more payments but will be a fair few when the Boat docks next Thursday on a Pay Day.
Enjoy the weekend
A Pound here, and a Pound there, placed at interest, goes on accumulating, and in this way the desired result is attained. It requires some training, perhaps, to accomplish this economy, but when once used to it, you will find there is more satisfaction in rational saving than in irrational spending.(Debt Jan 2014 LBM £34,000) Current 2016 "Problems" as follows:

Silly car won't start again today. I decided against home start, as I have a good local call out mechanic who lives nearby and charges £30 for a call our. I had to look up his number on yell. He was top of the list when I sorted by distance last time, but what I didn't notice was that the top of the list today was a sponsored ad... That little mistake cost me an extra £20!
It's a faulty crank sensor, and will cost around £130 to get fixed on my driveway.0 -
I've not posted on MSE for a while...
Thought I'd join this challenge - I've been working on my debts with support from this forum since March 2009.
I managed to get a loan to consolidate my multiple debts in November 2012 - I was due to finish paying this off this 1st December 2014, but I made an extra payment this month and now my DFD will be 1st October 2014.
We're expecting our first baby at the end of September so I'm hoping to keep making some extra payments so that I'm not just debt free by Christmas, but before my baby's born - I so want to set a better financial example for them.
After my DFD I really need to save to cover the time I'll be on maternity leave with reduced income - my biggest worry is that I'll get out of debt only to fall back in again a few months later!
Recently we've made some big money saving changes; we moved house in December and our rent went from £400 to £250 per month each. I've also been doing some extra work marking for an exam board which I'll get paid for in June/July.
We've already been given most of the baby equipment we'll need (family hand me downs!). I don't have a buggy/pram, but was thinking I'd buy a sling instead. We're debating buying a car - it's a big expense, but we live in a small village and though the buses are very frequent (3 or 4 each hour into the city) it won't be so easy with a baby.
My current total debt is: £2244.73. My consolidation loan was for £8100 originally, and before that my debt had peaked at about £12000 - so I've come a very long way!Debt Free No Longer Wannabe
DFD: 25th July 2014
About to ruin all that and get a mortgage!0 -
Hi Vicky - I'm not near my spreadsheet just now, but I do know you're member number 200! Welcome and good luck with the challenge!
P.S. we now have 200 members! :T0 -
Afternoon
I'm still here mini. Sorry to hear about you car.
Just got through the most expensive month of the year. It was my brother and my nephews birthday on Tuesday and my car needed MOT and insurance on Thursday. All done though for another year
I am looking forward to June payday so I can start to make more overpayments
I hope everyone is well. Looks like there are some good payments being made.
