108 here.
Made another payment today to the credit card, so now I'm at £5340.79/£10,000. Feeling a bit annoyed with myself too, though as I've spent a fair amount over the past few days. Mostly on stuff for OH though, and a fair amount will end up being returned, so I suppose it's not quite as bad. To be fair, I've still been saving like crazy and most of that is cash that would have been channelled into payments, so using some of it now is ok.0 -
Car is in for an MOT today @ £35 a pop. If it passes then the £45 I also spent on credit card this month I will pay off as well so I techncially haven't used the credit catd. That leaves me with £30 until next Friday.0

Woohoo !! Car passed MOT for another year although apparently it scraped by in the emissions test. Hopefully by next year I will be able to pass it again. Have to do some maintenance on the engine to see if I can improve it.
So just made that promised payment to the credit card too. So now feel good cos I haven't spent any extra debt this month.
Just need to live like a pauper for 7 more days.0 -

Hence we are scrimping every penny to pay the debts off, my little one needs a scooter and its thorugh luck we found a argos voucher which will pay for it so its reserved at argos - that will be my weekend spending. we have vowed that he will not go without for the sake of our mistakes!
This is exactly us!! Hence why I have declared (with DH's backing) that this year is going to be such a tight one as I will NOT spend another year paying off these stupid debts!!
But I do thank God for this site and the lovely encouraging people on here. We are the lucky ones who have pulled our heads out of the sand and are dealing with our mistakes.
Well done everyone :TGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

I was told to try sticking half a bottle of redex in the fuel before my MOT. Gives the engine a reasonable clear out.
Having issues with my car just now, most of the time it's fine, but lately when I leave work, it keeps refusing to start. The engine turns and turns, but it doesn't catch. Eventually it does after a few tries, so I've not been stranded yet. I've booked in for a service next week though, so hopefully that will clean things out...0 -
