Haven't made any more payments but am keeping myself well above the line considering I spent a fair whack this weekend.
Bought some parts for the car as well as some cleaning gear. Halfords is such a rip off but it's paying for the convenience of walking out with a part you need on the same day. eBay or online is much cheaper but have to wait for delivery.
So new air filter and pollen filter fitted in the car. Washed outside, cleaned inside, treated the leather seats to some conditioning and used an air con deodoriser too. Car looks, feels and smells new again considering it's 12 years old.
Total weekend spend £67.45 but feel it's been worth every penny.
Still need to get an oil change, brake fluid change, power steering checked and new wipers. I have £180 in a slush fund for my tax and by next month it will be £240 so going to use that money to get all that.0 -
Sweeeet bejesus !!! Just got an email from our CEO. We got a 2% payrise starting 1st April. That will help with the debts !!0

Have been selling everything and anything I could find, and although most went for 99p bids, it has meant I have just transferred an extra £50 off the CC.
It means I only have travel money left, but If I would have left it in my account, I would have spent it!
Feels good to pay off extra mid month - its gona be a long wait til payday though!

My flat black shoes were a little bit worn through - not too noticeable, but enough that I didn't want to wear them to an interview today. I was a tight wad, and didn't want to shell out £30 for a new pair just yet so I wore a pair of old uncomfortable heels instead. Gradually found it harder and harder to walk, reached the point of having slightly crippled myself, and as a result, had to shell out £33 on a new pair of flats, 2 lots of blister plasters and padded insoles. The shoes aren't black, so don't even solve the original problem! Lesson learned - never look for an excuse not to buy a pair of shoes again0

Funds from my bank loan hit my account today, so that's £2,100 of credit card debt at 24.95% and £1,700 of overdraft debt at 19% swapped for £3,800 of loan debt at 9.9%
Need to make an appointment to get my co-op account shut, and now more of the money I'm throwing at my debts can actually go towards paying it off! :jDEBT FREE!

I am luckily completely free of the ability to say no to shoes.
I can't walk in heels though so that limits my options!0 -
Oh no amr primark was too far away... I couldn't handle walking that far!
marlie every now and again I give heels a go, and always regret it after. I did get quite a pretty new pair
I took some brief respite to nip into the bank and close the last of my old redundant accounts - that's 2 unused credit cards, a next account and my old student account (the big overdraft account) all closed down now :T0 -
108 here.
Made a wee payment to the cc today, now I'm at £4445.68/£10,000.
Feeling a bit miserable at the moment. OH is very dependent on me at the moment and I'm knackered running around the house trying to do everything. We still haven't received any payments from the insurance company so I'm not making anything more than minimum payments to the cc as I don't know how long we'll get to pay the medical bills (or how much we'll have to pay, which is the really scary bit!). I also feel sad as all the plans we had have been derailed for the foreseeable future. Life ain't much fun just now.0
