Oh no amr primark was too far away... I couldn't handle walking that far!

marlie every now and again I give heels a go, and always regret it after. I did get quite a pretty new pair :)

I took some brief respite to nip into the bank and close the last of my old redundant accounts - that's 2 unused credit cards, a next account and my old student account (the big overdraft account) all closed down now :T

i have two current accounts that i don't use, i would close them but for some things i need a visa debit account whereas my bank uses it maestro.... i should at least go and close the one redundant account!

    Eighth Anniversary Debt-free and Proud!
Brit I'm sorry to hear things are rough right now. Last year was like this for us. Skyrocketing dental bills, an enforced house move and an enforced job move plus health worries. It was all so expensive and really messed up our plans. But we got through and are now back on the debt-busting train! This will pass for you too <3

My minimum payment direct debit just went through to my credit card account leaving the balance now at

    #038 £2653.12 / £4016.44

Which is over a third of my debt cleared since starting in January!

I have closed the two credit cards which have been paid off and was wondering what the best thing to do with the remaining card is?

Should I reduce the credit limit as I pay it off? Or keep it the same?

I can see advantages and disadvantages in that if I reduce it, then I cannot ever get into such a mess again, but if I reduce it and then I really needed funds for an emergency I wouldn't be able to access them.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

    Happy Birthday to me! :j

    :bdaycake:

Quite an uneventful birthday overall, working :o, but will hopefully have a lovely weekend to make up for it.

Hit another £30 on my surveys so will pay that off as soon as I get it paid (though tempted to treat it as a birthday present and get a treat...)

    Happy birthday Marlie!

Paid another £10 via Save the Change account - seem to have used the debit card a lot this month but I find it works better than cash sometimes!

I've decided to change the account I was save the change paying into, mostly because it's a debt that's been lingering for far too long. The other account does have a higher interest rate but I owe this one more. Both have minimum payments of about £15 per month and I pay them both £50 so they are going to end sometime soon (hopefully). I'm just sick of the sight of this other one now!

Also I've just set up a Christmas account (£50 per month) and an annual bills account (£100 per month) and I'm planning to go away with my friends next year so have arranged a monthly S/O to that too.
