Checking my bank account today and I haven't paid for insurance this month. Just checked my car insurance documents as it's due next month and realised that I have now fully paid so didn't pay any this month. £55.32 extra in the kitty this month. Might throw that in to my slush fund so I can get the car serviced.

I'm the same Mat, our insurance last year was £1400, this year with 5 years no claims we've got it for £750 with a different company, paid for the deposit in February ready for it changing over on the 3rd of March, only 9 monthly payments so I thought it would be around the start of March but I check our documents and it says the payments begin on the 6th April so that was an extra £68 in the bank, car tax due at the end of this month but I am trying to leave it as long as possible.. expires on 31st of march and pay day is the 1st of april duhhh how ironic lol. I have made another big payments and closed an account and that will be my final payment for this month of £405.30 - feels so good to finally get this one gone as it was costing over £100 a month, so my new total ..£2614.59/£10560.90 - 1% = 105.60
    24.75%/100% overall xx
    The 1% Challenge #76 - Debt 1 = £620 - 1% = £6.20 - 4.3%
    Debt 2 = £1600- 1% = £16 - 0%
    Debt 3 = £1012 - 1% = £10.12 0%

I just want my renewal quote from Tesco so I can see whether it's good or bad. I've already run quotes through the comparison sites and should be paying under £400 now, as opposed to £600 last year. 9 years NCD now too.

The good thing about my tesco cover is £0 voluntary excess and £0 compulsory. Love it.
