I am dreading the amount of paperwork that's going to be involved with this.
Oh gosh - I hope he's ok! Thankfully you have medical insurance to cover part of it.
Well my OH called and grovelled last night, said he just got a bit excited and carried away, and blamed it on 'only child syndrome' that he's not used to having to think about how others need to be included in his plans. I still said it was a slightly fundamental thing to think about, but will forgive him (after I make him sweat a bit).
One good thing is, he got a bonus for a project idea at work, and he felt pretty bad, so is going to spend the bonus on a holiday for us both later in the yearI normally hate having someone else pay my way for me, but it's starting to prove difficult not to let him pay a bit more once in a while. He's earning a good bit more than me, and I'm struggling to strike a balance between keeping up with the things he can afford to do, while still watching my spending.

Really really struggling with the whole "no spending on catalogues" and scrimping back to pay off debt and survive
its so hard for a shopaholic like me lol.
HOWEVER, I am so proud at the fact I have not catalogued shopped this year AND everytime I get an email "we miss you" or a catalogue or deal through the door it goes straight in the bin I dont even look, keep temptation away so to speak. Not only that but joined the £365 in 365 days and up to date with that which is a huge achievement not dipping into it and just counting it as a loss the money has disappeared (its all going towards our first cars MOT in November).
Had a sneak peek at this months statements (still have £180 to pay wednesday for BNPL) but I think im sitting at about £300-£400 paid off again this month :T
Keep up the good work everyone and thank you for inspiring me to sort my debt life xx16 projects in 2016 - 5/16

My car tax is due in about July I think... my phone contract runs out there too so hopefully when I sell my phone to mazuma or whatever, itll cover my car tax for the year... or near abouts. Thats the plan anyway! It currently runs out at the start of Jan when I pay 6 monthly which is always a pain!
Though at the same time I worry i will jinx myself by expecting it to last another 12 months! :P
Car insurance is the next big thing I need to get ready for. Hoping itll be under £400, was £425 this year... Need to have a shop around.0 -
mine is under 300 this year which is fab i paid monthly last year but id like to just get it paid and done with this time around. march is going to bbe more expensive than i thought...0

Just dropping by to update. My credit card bill came in so paid £288.70. That is my final payment for this month as I am completely out of money - just £7 left for food items after doing my weekly shop today. Should be OK - feels better to have less debt.:D
I've done some rearranging of my finances whilst I've been on leave this week. I did a money transfer from a 0% credit card for the full amount of my car loan. After fees I have saved £463 by doing this - I'm not counting it towards my payments - it is just a good reduction in debt without having to pay anything out of my wages.

Thats awesome. I wish mine was lower, perils of being 'young' and not having driven for a super long time. I also wrote my car off late 2012... but my premium still went down so I wasnt that sad!0
