well i am 23 with 2 years no claims so i've not done bad really :rotfl: (cancelled midway through year 1 bcause they tried to bump it up rather a lot... i technically have 3 years no claims but not all inusrance companies recognise it as 3 because i have been driving 2.5 years)0 -

Thats good! I'm 25, only 1 years no claims. Who are you with! Haha, my cars like 10 yr old, worth about 1500, dont do loads of miles. It was the cheapest I could get last time though, its never been below 300!

Wow - that's pretty good for 2/3 years no claims. You must live in a really safe area/do low mileage!
I had 3 yrs no claims at 23 no claims, and I paid around £700. I had an accident that year and it rose to £850 after that  That was 2 years ago now, so wonder what to expect this year.
Have just finished updating the spreadsheet for the last few days - a lot of people breaking milestones - well done for all the payments!
Pay day for many next week, so looking forward to some good payments and the next monthly total!0 -
i have a toyota aygo so its the lowest insurance class, no idea about the area, its fully comp with 6k a year mileage. my OH has an old honda civic, 10 yrs no claims and 3 pts on his licence due to expire later this year, and his is 450!0

Maybe its cos my cars so old its liable to roll off the road and crash at any moment haha! I want a little Fiat 500, I think theyre cheap for everything, mileage, insurance, tax... just not to buy... haha0

marlie - it's also about the reputation your car has. Some cars are popular with young lad types, and so your age combined with the make can be held against you. An aygo isn't such a lads car, so that'll help keep the cost down!0

Mines a 'new style' Micra (even though it's not the newest style anymore!) don't see many boy racers I don't think. Ah well it's a lot better than many of my friends (talking over £1000...)0 -
i love my car, i just need to finish paying for it!!! speaking of which i should get my statement soon...0

When mine was about to cork it late last year (before I found out it was still under warranty) I considered a little Fiat on finance... but ideally I want to get cottage then save... I want the pistachio green one which was one of the first i think (so old!) so hopefully will be cheap by the time I want it!
(and if my car lasts long enough!! Fingers crossed!)0 -
Quick semi update, I am temporarily in more debt - due to car insurance! 657 pounds plus a 171 bt fee on the original debt. Had to move it, no job from Aug so wanted a longer bt in case.
the insurance will paid off this month so am not asking to change my amount, just felt I should check in and say hi
