MrsI – Glad you are OK after the accident and that everything was sorted quickly.
Chrissy – Ooo with a reduction too :-) I keep looking to get a new one but every year my OH talks me out of one, as the £10 one I have when decorated he said looks wonderful (I’m sure he just doesn’t want me to spend money :rotfl: )
Dennatrois – Sending hugs!
Free – Have they got any further with DD or is she at least in some less pain? You have reminded me I must pick up our TV times, I too love to highlight what we want to watch and if anything clashes I have to check if we can squeeze it in on +1 ha haOh we could really do with a freesat+ box but never mind.
Fluffysox – So adorable, his little outfit it so cute!
Pheww caught upWell I have one last Christmas cake to decorate and then that is it for this year. We have had such a busy last week and weekend I just didn't get chance to pop in and catch up properly. Tenants have left one property and we have been having jobs done but it's taking a little longer than planned *annoyed face* but should hopefully all be done by this week so it can go back on the market for a new tenant. I have managed at long last to sort my hair out and got it trimmed Saturday with the free cut & blow dry I won :T Friday evening I had nipped with my mum to the village pre-school chistmas fete and we entered the raffle and I ended up winning a 30 minute treatment at the spa
I never normally win anything so I'm quite happy and planning what to have now.
Nearly all the cards have been posted or delivered, just a few left to go which need doing this week! I have started thinking about next years Christmas giftsbut I am making myself do a list for the Birthday first as both my parents will be 50 (Dad in feb and mum in July) and at the moment I have not a clue what to get them. I'm between a nice hamper with lots of useful things, plus I will make both of their cakes, or maybe something joint with my brother or something joint with him and buy for both, oooo I just don't know. Any ideas greatly received; Both like the allotment, outdoorsey and sporty, mum like making things and they like going to shows/stopping away at places and going for a nice meal ect..
I can't remember what else I was going to post. I will sort myself a photobucket login and get the pictures of Christmas cakes posted.
HugsChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Hi all,
We had a fab but expensive time in London. Mum enjoyed it too which was the main thing.
Hubby's pressies are wrapped, just got all the others to tackle now. Half of the cards are written, just DH's family to do (a long, long list, eek!) All decked up, done a snowman tree for the kitchen but he needs some white tinsel to fill out his face, he looks a bit scary at the moment.
Just one gift card to buy and food and I'll be all sorted0 -
Oh, I've seen a Christmas album advertised on tv this weekend but can't for the life of me remember what's it's called. It's a classical Christmas album by a chap (his second album I think) the ad plays Fairytale of New York and it's available at hmv.
Tried googling for it and got nowhere! Thought it would be ideal for playing during Christmas dinner.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm on about?0 -
:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY 3FORHOLIDAYS :bdaycake:
Well DD2 has been for her 6 week check for her and little man, and was sent away with 100 Co Codamol and to let them know if it gets any worse :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: i am so bl**dy angry, it is ridiculous, most of the time she just copes with it because she is used to being in pain with her back but times like last night she was in so much pain she couldnt hold or feed or change little man and just cried because she feels she is letting him down. Also they dont like the look of a birth mark type mark on his head so are making an appt for him to see a paeditrician, which i know will worry her!!
FLUFFYSOX aww bless him its gone so quick hasnt it, oh that is awful, im so glad that they did sort it quickly for you, there is nothing worse than new mummys being in pain and trying to look after baby
NEWTHRIFT it was the first year i did my christmas tv mag and didnt really enjoy it, i just kept thinking what a load of **** on tv this christmas, and can itv put on any more HP films they have been doing it all year, i love HP but its just a cop out to keep sticking them on, ooh would love to see your cakes, ooh you are on a winning streak atm, you should buy a lottery ticket

I am more or less sorted present wise, just a few DVDs to come and some sweets/chocs to buy for the boys. I have written my cards which is early for me but still need to post them so they could still be late! We have decided not to send cards next year and to give a donation to charity instead. I have put a note in with the cards this year so people will have plenty of warning - not sure how well it will go down though!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Happy Birthday 3forholidays!!!!!
Freespirit no wonder you're feeling so angry, I would be too. It's so frustrating when medical people just don't seem to 'get' it and you end up feeling like you've just been fobbed off with more pills. Just watch the cocodomol though - although they seem to dish them out like smarties, the advice from the NHS is that it should only be taken for a few days because of the addictive properties of codeine. I must say when my DD went for her 6-week check last year they basically just said to her 'are you ok', she said she was and that was it. Bit different from what I remember. I think Fluffysox was right, maybe she puts on a brave face and unfortunately it doesn't get you anywhere - a good meltdown and lots of tears will probably have much more effect. Hope things get sorted very soon.
HisMissus, I've seen that advert too but I can't remember who it was or what it was called. Will keep a lookout for it and let you know if I see it again.
Productive day today - finally have outside lights (thanks to a poorly fitting front door which has allowed them to be plugged in inside) and did the first of my two big Aldi shops - one voucher used, one to goIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Evening peeps  Christmas cards have been posted, other cards are in my bag to be brought into work tomorrow (hopefully) I somehow managed to leave my handbag at home today:doh:
Not much Christmas prep happening here today, am looking after the neighbours kiddie winks ATM as they were sent fr in the early hours of this morning as their mum/mother-in-law took a turn for the worse:( So it's a bit of a waiting game now for her to pass on. I know this will sound terrible, but I hope it's sooner rather than later, more so for the family than have it prolong their pain. She isn't in pain herself thank God it's just the lingering on now. Losing someone at anytime of the year is horrible but I always think it's worse at Christmas when everyone should be happy and enjoying life:(
Anyhow, I'm thinking that when LO's go to bed I'll have a go at making some Scottish Tablet. I must admit that I do like giving and receiving Christmas cards.
I therefore buy charity Christmas cards. This year I bought 3 boxes of the luxury charity ones from Tesco.
I do know that not all the funds go to the charity, but this way they are at least still getting some of my money
And I did the linkforhope shoe boxes this year, so feel that that was my charitable contribution for the festive season.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
