I agree with you but im worried she is so fed up of being fobbed off that she will just put up with the pain just like her back problems, they are coming over tomorrow so i will have a chat with her, haha love the christmas tree story, you dont realise how wide they are at the bottom, what a shame that book is disappointing, it is one on my lists as well, i am reading Calling Mrs Christmas by Carole Matthews it is fab. Oh i feel your pain my lovely over the sleepless nights they are just the worst thing! DD2 longs for a good nights sleep too
i keep saying we will have him even just one night but she said she will just not sleep wondering if he is ok and feeling guilty about me not getting sleep :rotfl::rotfl:
Aw thank you. I would be the same as your daughter, in one respect I long for someone to have him for the night, but in reality I wouldn't like it and probably wouldn't sleep at all! I know it will get better one day. I do hope your daughter can get to the bottom of her problems. I really enjoyed Calling Mrs Christmas, I read it earlier in the year. Good luck with the baking - I hope it gets you in the festive spirit!0 -
PrincessKitty What a lovely photo!
Sorry but I had to laugh at the tree being too big :rotfl:
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

PrincessKitty he's gorgeous, daren't show DD2 - she's already broody enough! I think I'm a terrible mother because when mine wouldn't sleep I'd have bitten my Mum's arm off if she'd offered to have them overnight lol
I'm in DD2's bad books - I bought 20 lovely glass knobs for my bedroom drawers and cupboards today. Know DD has them too so messaged to tell her I'd got them expecting her to be really pleased. No. Turns out she's bought me some for Christmas. Think I'll be returning mine. Now I'm usually very careful in buying stuff in the run up to Christmas but drawer knobs??? How was I supposed to know she might get me drawer knobs!!!!:oIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
freespirit66 - I followed your advice and the jalousie was perfect thankyou
x
princesskitty29 - you have the most adorable reindeer
I need more hours in a day please?
Had an Avon table top sale last night so was late in to find , an order for bunting this is at about midnight (placed in the afternoon but of course I was out so didn't get it) for 8m and asking if I could get it to them for Friday for a party....a little last min at the best of times...
But It's done it's in the post.
Awfully clumsy day, burnt my tongue because I pressed the button on the tassimo too many times and so cleverly...stupidly... thought it would be a good idea to try and use a straw to get a bit of the extra out of the cup so I didn't spill it. Well holding it in the straw worked fine till halfway to the sink and I ended up with boiling water on my tongue
Then cut my hand twice on a sellotape dispenser that the side has come off, surprisingly nasty cuts considering how I got them
Then spilt my stew when dishing up and burnt my finger
Time for bed before I do something else!! haha .
And I keep realising how close the big day is and panicing... our Christmas tree is still outside in it's netand I don't think we've ordered our turkey yet!!!!!!!
The only time I feel Christmassy is when I'm not at home. How bad does that sound...
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
his_missus wrote: »Oh, I've seen a Christmas album advertised on tv this weekend but can't for the life of me remember what's it's called. It's a classical Christmas album by a chap (his second album I think) the ad plays Fairytale of New York and it's available at hmv.
Tried googling for it and got nowhere! Thought it would be ideal for playing during Christmas dinner.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm on about?

PIXTOTTS oh im so glad the jalousie turned out well, hope you had a great evening, oh what a day you have had!! I did that once when i had had a filling stupidly decided to drink coffee through a straw because my lips were still numb and burnt my mouth really badlydont panic there is still a week left to get the tree up and if it is too late to order a turkey, you can always grab one from a supermarket x

So there is a mixed bag going on here, I seem to have pre Christmas blues, seems like everyone doesn't have as much as I thought they did, still loads of wrapping to do. But we've donated to the food bank, so that's a positive and I have myself a coffee date for Monday.
Oh well I'm sure no one is going to hate me for the amount of presents they get. I must however get some slippers for mum and myself and some socks caus they will pad out a stocking haha
Love and hugs to all xxx xxx0 -
3forholidays we laughed too once we were over the shock of the size of it! Well if you're going to do it, do it properly I say!
pixtotts ouchie! That's a lot to take in one day, I hope all of your injuries clear up soon. Try not to stress too much, you'll find that everything will come together on the day.
Feisty I do hope you feel better soon and the festive spirit returns.
freespirit your baking sounds yummy! Glad you felt festive doing it. I'm planning to make some honey roasted nuts tomorrow to put in jars as a little gift for my NCT friends. Wiggle did sleep 12.5 hours once, we were staying at DH's parents house. He had been a nightmare leading up to that night (waking up to 15 times a night!) so we'd prepared his parents for a rough night - then he slept all night!!! Babies have a habit of making us look like liars! After that I said we'd have to move in with them.
Ameyturtle I do hope the pre Christmas blues clear up soon and you can enjoy everything. In my opinion I think everyone should stop worrying about how much is bought for them, I think it's sad that it's so much about presents nowadays. I'm sure you've got some lovely gifts to give to people and that's what matters. x0 -
