Bad news Just had a text from Jess. She has been back in hospital for the last two weeks, been re-introduced to Fred :mad:. She is in a side room off the ward, ward is Christmassy, hers, to quote, " a blank canvas of boringness!" Not even a card on the wall. Just hope she gets out for Christmas.

really sorry to read this, i do hope jess is ok and that her room can be festived up for her and hopefully she escape from it anyway before christmas or at least be allowed home for a while.

had to smile at the thought of a box full of doorknobs for christmas. at lease your DD knows you like them if you are having to return yours after already buying them for yourself.
i got a scowl off my DD2 after mentioning id finally bought myself a gravy boat after years of using the pyrex jug, had to quickly add but its only a small one so wont do when we have guests. (guess whos getting a gravy boat for christmas;) )

so p****d off , just got a Christmas card from a bungalow 2 doors away inside was a letter telling me to park elsewhere are she doesn't like looking at my car and it restricts her view of children going to school !!!!
I live in a corner bungalow lots of cars one side but none where I park .

i'd send one back saying 'sorry you don't like looking at my car... and do you need to inform the authorities of her spying on children?' lol

nah i'd probably just rip it up and smile sweetly at her when i saw her and carry on parking where i had done.

Wait till you see her on the street & say with a giant smile, thanks for your card. Make no mention of the parking & carry on parking where you usually do. It'll annoy her no end to know you have ignored her passive aggressive attempts at controlling the street.

I am getting there, still a few bits of pressies to buy, but have all the main things. I usually get a main pressie and a wee think so everyone has 2 gifts at least. Going to hit Primark tomorrow to get jammies and some nail varnish pens my sister showed me.

I have wrapped the kids pressies, going to get a few other wee bits for them too. Just small things so they have more to open.

I'm going shopping with my sisters on Monday to buy all the food for Christmas dinner. Glad they are helping me.ill write a list so we don't all end up flinging things in the trolley.
