Belated birthday wishes Fiesty, bunbun, pixnmix & 3forholidays

GTQ thanks for the update on JJ sorry to hear shes back in hospital with fred esp so close to xmas

fluffysox & princesskitty your boys are soo cute

Freespirit sorry dd is still suffering looks like shes really going to have to push to get them to look harder fobbing her off with painkillers and a come back just isn't good enough  she should be able to enjoy these first wks with ds

well not much happening here as all my plans went out the window due to ds picking up the norovirus doing the rounds at school  he hasn't been too bad with it and currently everyone else seems ok lots of disinfecting and airing going on so hoping thats it but if not that we should still all be clear of it by xmas.

realised we don't have any xmas crackers  not sure how that happened as we usually have several packs. still need to get a couple of presents as didn't get out this wk so need to figure out when to brave the shops maybe tomorrow or mon depending on how ds/everyone else is.

My dad picked up a few bits in asda for me as they have started doing reductions on xmas sweets- including cadburys winter wonderland bars down to 50p

    catch up later tc all

so p****d off , just got a Christmas card from a bungalow 2 doors away inside was a letter telling me to park elsewhere are she doesn't like looking at my car and it restricts her view of children going to school !!!!
I live in a corner bungalow lots of cars one side but none where I park .
    Sorry rant over
Well I know what I'd be doing with that card. It includes a shove, and her rear end:mad:

Me personally I wouldn't even acknowledge her card, or her. But I'd constantly park my car outside her house just for pure badness:mad:

Send a card back thanking her for offering to pay for your road tax next year.
Thank you for your kind offer to pay my road tax next year. I'm assuming that was your intention as you seem to think you can tell me what part of the road I can park on !! :rotfl:

    :rotfl:

I like this idea though :o:rotfl:

Christmas prep is in full swing here tonight. With looking after extra kiddies plans have went to pot this week, so am now running behind on my to do jobs:eek:

Have to wrap kids presents for teachers and assistants for last day of school tomorrow, have to wrap my own gift for my own teacher that I work with for last day at school tomorrow. Then have to wrap the Secret Santa present for my work's Xmas dinner tomorrow night.

Bought a few more pressies for my mum off Amazon a few more presents for her to open on Christmas day, opened a new Amazon account with a different email address just for the 30 day free prime trail so I get next day delivery.

Final parcels to England were collected today so that's another thing sorted. I can now just about see the corner of my room again:T:o

I've got that feeling I've forgotten to do something and knowing my luck it'll come to me when it's too late. But hey ho, tough luck now lol.

Doesn't like the look of my car !! my car is very pretty .LOL:D

Christmas wise my new tree arrived its huge even in the box my hope of sliding it under the bed until next year just isn't going to happen, I've got my Tesco bargain to pick up tomorrow so that's wrapping paper sorted for next year although I may get some M & S paper in the sales.

Ask her if she wants you to put some tinsel on the car? Maybe that'll cheer her foul self up.:rotfl:

ChrissyG - I'd get her a cheap pair of binoculars and a traffic warden's cap!

Seem to be making some headway with the little critters. Been a bit of a long process. Tried steam but as I only have a cheap steam cleaner you can't regulate the flow so I have actually had a couple blown onto me (screamed both times and put clothes straight in the washer lol). Bought some Protector C spray, powder and fumer bombs. In spite of the 'bugs are immune to the sprays' message, there are no signs of movement now. But I have a cold, and asthma.., and I can only spray for a few mins before I start having problems breathing. So its a slow process. I hope to finish it tomorrow (and sprayed the floor around the walls in my room to hopefully stop migration).

Bought a mattress encapsulator, so hopefully that will help. Aim to use double sided sticky tape on my son's bedframe and legs to monitor future infestations and help stop bugs climbing upward. I'm out of budget for anything else now so I'll just keep cleaning, spraying and steaming.., carefully.

No my council will not help. Just told me to contact a private firm.

Just going to have to respray the room every three weeks and keep steaming.

Wrapping presents has faded into the back ground lol.

Did see my 8 year old in his nativity play though. He was so funny before school, complaining about how his shepherd hat itched, his jacket was 'horrible', the sheep glove puppet was 'ridiculous' but his smile when he saw me there was so good to see. I have to take pro plus to keep awake in most things though. But I did lol. I've embarrassed both kids by falling asleep in their shows, unfortunately. Took lots of photos (loved the adorable photo earlier in this thread). So glad this school lets you do this. My older son's primary school wouldn't and it was quite upsetting (data protection, not allowed to take photos of shows without the permission of every parent blah blah). They're already doing the rounds!

His father kept suggesting getting him a German type helmet so he'd be a German Shepherd (we have a German Shepherd dog). I laughed politely lol.

I was a bit foolish the other day, normally buy cheap crackers but spent £5 in Wilkinsons on some crackers with modeling balloons in them. The idea amused me so we'll see if they're fun or not on Xmas day. My older son keeps saying how much he enjoys Xmas dinner. Thanks Jamie Oliver lol.

  • Yes Freespirit, its happened to me a couple of times (falling asleep in the cinema for movies my kids think are the bees knees). I do try to hide it!

I also managed to sleep through a long whaffling 'I am so wonderful' talk given by the MD of my son's Theatrical school. Apparently it was dreadfully embarrassing for my son., but to be honest, I voted with my eyes lol. It still secretly amuses me although of course, I was careful to be properly penitent in front of my son. The MD was later resigned for mis-spending funds. I won't say anymore lol.
  • Omo, looking fab! It's helping my Chfist as spirit of end seeing your posts!

Thanks for the JJ update, poor lamb :(

Well the day job is officially finished for the year and all orders are finished, last one is to be collected this morning!

Now to start the huge wrapping task lol
