I'll pm OMO and offer to start the 2015 thread if she feels that she does not have the time to do it.
I'm no computer wizard either Freespirit, just got basic computer knowledge!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

ChrissyG Hope that your DD gets her appointment quickly but as it is orthopaedics I wouldn't be surprised if she has a bit of a wait.
As Christmas 2014 is almost upon us we will have to start thinking about who is going to start the new thread for 2015 in OMO's absence.
If no one else volunteers to do this then I'm happy to do this (after consulting OMO of course). I don't want to step on anyone's toes as I'm a relative newbie to the thread compared to some of you.
Let me know what you think and I'll contact OMO. ⛄️
I'm happy for you to start the new thread.
OMO didn't start the original Christmas threads, but took it over in 2012 from Gleek who started the 2011 "Let it Snow" thread:

So I don't think it will be a problem for someone other than OMO to start the next one.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Hugs to everyone who needs them at the moment
Operation Wrap Presents is now well and truly underway whenever my OH goes to work in the evenings but since he came home early one day last week I can't leave it until the last minute to get everything put away so I do his for a bit then swap to wrapping others in case he comes home early again
Forgot how much running up and down the stairs it involves if I want to be able to move in my lounge or have room to wrap haha.
Just under 2 weeks of work left for me (benefit of working in educational establishments) but since all my shopping is done I can now just enjoy the festivities and watch everyone else stressing :rotfl: They may laugh at me in August but who's laughing now..
On a total other note - I am sure that mysupermarket used to show you the historic prices (in a little graph?) for things when you clicked on a product? Have they changed their site cos now I can't tell if something is a good deal compared to the lowest price it's been before and it only seems to show me the current price?0 -

Have you scrolled far enough down after you click view details and get the pop up with the different price comparisons?
As far as I'm aware they haven't changed their site but I'm not a regular user of mysupermarket so I can't be sure.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Hello elves!
My eye has been much better the last few days, thanks. Been limiting screen time and also using eye drops. First time ever and it's taking some getting used to. It's not natural pouring something into your eye when they're open! Would love to try the 'closed eye' sprays but they're so expensive! Also had my cold given back to me again, so felt horrible all weekend. Felt well enough last night to go out and have dinner with an old friend. It's been blooming ages since I saw her, so it was good to catch up.
Thanks so much for all the turkey tips. Very useful and I'm looking forward to my dinner already. Bought my cranberry sauce yesterday and have three flavours of stuffing already.
Loving seeing pics of people's tree. Haven't put up my decs yet. Between feeling ill and being busy with other things, I haven't had chance to dig them all out. Oh to have a Christmas fairy to do it for me...;)Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Morning all x
Freespirit, sending hugs for your daughter, I had problems after my first c-section too which did not stop until I admitted defeat and rested! I felt so physically good (apart from feeling like the world was dragging on my belly -I had infection and healing issues too) that I carried on as normal once on my feet. I hope her scan shows what is going on and she can rest well.
Have made some life changing decisions in the last 24hrs and am feeling a bit better. Its funny my life is so good in most ways its just a couple of things dragging me down. I'm also well into SAD season which is compounding everything.
I have work to do today and then hopefully that is it for a while so I can regroup (yay) I have a pile of wrapping to do and a few more things to buy. Lord knows what to get the man in my life still!!
I did get the Yankee Christmas eve candle though, its on offer in Clintons. I can't decide if I should burn or gift tho.Life happens, live it well.0 -
Thank you 3forholidays and quidsy..
Turns out I was being a muppet - the things I was looking for are so new that there is no price history yet as I only think it updates each month and they've been out less than that.... d'uh0 -
Hellooo
Training on the new system at work today which is quite confusing but also not much training as we will only be using it for a few months before our redundancy period is finished.
Iced the three cakes last night and have managed to cook the extra one that was ordered, will try and marzipan tonight. Get at least one of them decorated and I seriously need to catch up with some housework :rotfl:
Hugs to those in need.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
