Well, everyone seems to be really busy now as postings have dropped to a trickle in comparison. Just goes to show how organised we are.
I just need to sort out my nephews & niece, had planned to do it this evening but XFactor is rolling into town, I don't watch it so had no idea that someone local is through to final. Apparently the gig starts at 7, so I may get a chance to nip in after work and escape before Simon Cowell turns up!
Had a ball at panto. Went to see Cinderella in Wimbledon, Tim Vine, Wayne Sleep, Matthew Kelly & Linda Gray are in it. My god, but the Americans do not get non American humour, Linda was so stiff, fair enough, it was only the 3rd performance so she may loosen up by the end of the run, but the others made up for her. Matthew Kelly's son played opposite him as the 2 ugly sisters, Mel B & Cheryl!!!!!!!!!! They are so alike, Tim Vine proves he is the master of one liners, but even he struggled with the kids that were brought onto stage just before the finale. Love the way they are so full of confidence, but freeze once they have given their name. He didn't get a word out of them, except the little boy who said he was getting Lego for Christmas, at which point Tim immediately said " I didn't touch you!", innocence of childrens humour and the seriousness of the topic which was understood by everyone. Wayne Sleep was quite camp, but looked as if he was enjoying himself.A smile costs little but creates much0 -

Welcome to the thread Itsybitsygoth
I can't really answer your question re hampers as I don't do them but I'm sure that some of the others who do hampers will be along soon.
There is a hamper thread - see https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5051937A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Hi guys,
Am wondering if anyone has any recommendations of ordering turkeys/goose directly from a farm's website - and also, if any, last-minute turkey deals can be had?
I'm quite tempted with goose this year also, instead of turkey.

itsybitsygoth I have made a pamper hamper for my Mum and done a couple of handmade scarves.
springdreams the Christmas tree's are looking good.
dinosaur_l I ordered a Bronze Turkey from my local butcher last year and it was really tasty, I do have meat from them year round. There is possibly deals if someone doesn't pick up there order but no guarantees so you could end up Turkey or Goose-less!Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Freespirit really hope dd is in by now and they can sort out whatever is causing it quickly
springdreams the snowman tree is great. ds did a great job too and at least it all got covered taz could only reach parts of ours and
refused to let anyone help him reach the high parts
itsybitsygoth welcome. I do hampers for the kids as its a great way of making cheaper/smaller presents look more special and homemade presents are often well received by the grandparents.
Chrissyg I bet dd is annoyed at not being able to wear her boots I know some foot fractures can take a long time to heal properly/be pain free but hope she gets an appointment & some answers/ treatment soon
3fortheholidays thank you for offering if Omo can't do it
Sains had a few annuals reduce to £1 today angrybirds, skylanders ,doc mcstuffins & one D in my local not clearly advertised just mixed in with the others but maybe worth a look.
wilkos has lynx gift sets reduced to £3.65 & still 3 for 2 so picked up a couple at £2.43 a set the lynx attract is great value. this weekend managed to get 2 x relvon glitch deal at boots & finally got hold of some JL monty chocolates. the elves have been a big hit with taz though one of them has "gone to visit/report to santa"(gone mia was there one day and couldn't find it the next )
coming round quickly now taz only has 5 more sessions at preschool so have wrapping session planned for thurs as its the only day I don't currently have anything on while he's not here.
xmas fete & concert tonight so should be fun
