  • Hi everyone 🎅

I'm off work this week so I hope to tackle the following list of jobs:

    1. Finish buying the Christmas presents
    2. Write my Christmas cards
    3. Tidy up my room (& sort out the Christmas present corner)

Planning to go out today as there is bad weather forecast for later in the week so might make a small dent in number one on the list!

Hope that everyone is keeping well.

Jobo88 – Beautiful tree and decorations!! I really want to pick a new artificial one up (much like the one you have) as ours is quite airy. Will have to keep my eyes peeled in the sales
Fevertotell – Congratulations on your wedding!!
Feisty – Glad that business is busy and I hope you find a break to enjoy some family time soon. UPDATE fingers crossed that the craft fair went well.
OMO – Nice to hear from you, sorry that thing’s are not going well at the moment, sending lots of hugs and positive vibes your way.
JJ – Ooo your poor mum and you too! Hugs to your both
Chrissy – Hope you DD is feeling better after her fit. I love Polar Express, hopefully this cheered her up a little
GTQ – Which Panto did you go to see? Hope it was good, I haven’t been to one for years.
Springdreams – Noted this as I may have to stop up and watch :D
Freespirit – Hope DD is feeling better soon and they get to the bottom of what is causing her pain.
Deannatrois – Welcome to the thread, sorry to hear you are having a rough time but it is good you have someone to talk to. We brought a property last year with a tenant in on benefits but we brought it as another investment so left the tenants in, my fingers crossed for you this is the case for you!!!!!!!
    Vfm4meplse – I do rather like that onsie :o

Pheww caught up :D I have had a further order for a Christmas cake so I am hoping to get this cooked tomorrow evening, although it won't be nice a fed like the others. Will Marzipan the three that are ready and then ice/decorate all before Friday...that's the plan anyway. Ironing pile is rather large so that needs doing and then I need to catch up on some cleaning  luckily a reasonably quiet week on the evenings so I should get chance if I get my bottom out of bed in the mornings too. Snow here today  :j only a few cm's but I love it :T Work is very quiet as normal, so makes plenty to do at home even worse as I sit here thinking 'I could be doing' - what a 1st world issue :o:rotfl: I'm not the only one as some colleagues are the same.
All the posted Christmas cards have gone today, hand delivered some but will make an effort to get the rest out by the end of this week :T Went to the local towns late night shopping Friday and it was fab, got what we went for. Had a beef Christmassy dinner Saturday night when some friends came over, they brought a pudd from M&S which was beautiful and quite fattening ;) they said tea was lovely and was great to catch up with them. We are at there's on New Years eve.

    Right, signing off for now.

love the christmas pud onesie, ive managed to pick the boys wheres wally onesies-they were only £4.99 each at local hughies and look plenty long enough even for DS1 who towers over me at 6ft 5ins. (im so glad they are both good you cant really tell someone off if you have to finger wag while they look down on you)

    Morning all,
DD is being referred to the orthopaedic Dept as the fracture is still showing on her x ray [not sure if that's normal!]

She has a Christmas party on Friday and had bought herself some lovely high heeled sparkly boots but will be unable to wear them now so she is seriously hacked off !!

  • Oh chrissy she must be so annoyed and frustrated. I hope the referral is quick.
  • Good morning everyone ❄️

ChrissyG Hope that your DD gets her appointment quickly but as it is orthopaedics I wouldn't be surprised if she has a bit of a wait.

As Christmas 2014 is almost upon us we will have to start thinking about who is going to start the new thread for 2015 in OMO's absence.

If no one else volunteers to do this then I'm happy to do this (after consulting OMO of course). I don't want to step on anyone's toes as I'm a relative newbie to the thread compared to some of you.

Let me know what you think and I'll contact OMO. ⛄️

chrissy hope your DD gets her appointment quickly!
3forholidays no problem with me, very kind of you to offer in our omo's absence!

Marzipaned the three cakes left last night, will aim to ice them when I get home then decorate tomorrow. The fruit is soaking for the extra order I got and I will aim to cook this tonight, all being well.
One of my colleague's mum make mince pies every year for us and she has brought them in today :D they are so tasty and the highlight of our working day :) I'm going to enjoy mine with a cuppa now.

Quite icy here this morning, feels lovely and Christmassy :)
