Freespirit - hope your daughter is well very soon and in time for Christmas.
Chrissy G - hope your daughter is on the mend too and gets to wear her sparkly shoes.
Not much happening with me, attempted Christmas markets but didn't get much time with one thing and another.
I had a till spit from sainsbobs £4.50 off £30 spend so got 3 x 4 pack of estrella lager for a tenner, some wine and other bits and bobs was chuffed with that.
Hope all is well with everyone0 -
Having trouble posting for some reason - the page is coming up really big. It's fine when I read but goes wrong when I click to reply.
Itsybitsygoth, welcome to the thread although it's very, very quiet at the moment - hope everyone is just busy with life. Hampers are definitely still popular with me this year.
3forholidays, I was wondering about next year's thread to. Like the others I'm very happy for you to take it on if OMO isn't able to do it this year.
Freespirit, hope DD is doing ok (and little man of course) and scan goes well tomorrow.
Chrissy, hope your DD is ok too.
JJ, where are you? Hope everything is ok.
Sorry if I've missed anyone, this stupid screen is throwing me off my game lol.
Had a fabulous spa day yesterday at AquaSana (local Center Parcs) - was a pressie for me and DD for our birthdays and was lovely. Breakfast and lunch included and also a facial and rest of day spent using all the lovely spa facilities (saunas, steam rooms, relaxing rooms etc). Hopefully another fabulous day tomorrow too - going to see The Snowman in London with DD and DGD. :jIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Evening everyone, i swallowed a frog this morning, but it stressed me out so much i spent the afternoon just huddled under throws with a hot water bottle and watched christmas films back to back, i felt wrung out
WILLOWLOULOU thankyou very much for hugs for DD, she had a normal birth not a caeserian which is making it even more worrying but they had to do an episiotomy that is where her stitches were, and where the infection started, even though i bought her a bottle of dettox? (i cant remember my head has gone) to bathe in and she kept it clean and dry but it was inside where the infection was, but she was mucked about by different midwives and a doctor who all had different opinions and so it didnt go away, and one said she should be on one type of ABs then another said oh no they are wrong you should be on this type then the dr (without even looking or checking the infection) put her on another type so with the ones she is on now it is the 4th lot of ABs in 6 weeks  i just hope it hasnt spread and is what is causing this inflammation and pain, anyway hopefully they will find out at scan tomorrowGood for you making decisions that will change your life and be good for you its very brave.
NEWTHRIFT you wear me out with how much you do, ice 3 cakes in one evening and bake another one,
3FORHOLIDAYS thankyou for the links
JACQUIS thankyou my lovely

Morning all,
My GP rang at 7 pm to say the ortho doc had seen DD's x-ray and were concerned it looked worse so could I take her straight away to the hospital.
They examined her and did another x-ray it showed her fracture has healed but they think she may have damaged the ligaments or tendons, They will call today to say if she has to go for a CT scan. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Good(ish) morning, from a crumpled mrsl, A car ran into mine on Monday morning, when l was stopped at a junction on the school run.
The driver was shaken up, and kept apologising and saying thanks for being understanding. (Whats the point of being antsy? stuff happens!)
Anyway, l want to give a big thank you to insurers, they rang next morning to admit full liability, arranged to collect my car for repair and delivered a courtesy car that same afternoon.
l am impressed, only, they kept asking/suggesting that we may have whiplash, and although l kept saying no, they didn't get it that l was fine and won't tell lies for money!!
Christmas wrapping is complete, tree is up, deccies are almost done, only the garland in the conservatory to do. then l can start on the basket orders, (6 so far) and wait for the China contingent to arrive, yipppppeeeeee. Hugs to all, and mulled wine-to keep the cold out,0 -
Morning all, Hope you are all feeling better...i am full of dreaded lurgy with a horrid chest infection i can't shift.
All christmas presents now wrapped bar 3 that i am waiting to be delivered. One present left to buy and some stocking fillers...that requires a trip up town and to be honest the thought of it at the moment fills me with dread, so i'm putting it off...if i don't get up there it's not the end of the world-i have a back up plan lol
I'm hoping to start feeling festive soon, it hasn't come yet...i'm usual wearing tinsel like a scarf in my snowman jumper glugging baileys from the bottle and eating my hundreth mince pie by now ;-) lmao! But nope...nada...no happening :-( need to do something christmassy with the children this weekend i think. It's ds2 Christmas play tonight at school and their church nativity on Sunday so hoping that will kick start it albiet late this year.
xxxDon't tell me this nothing...this is my nothing0 -
MrsI Glad to read that there are no injuries as a result of the 'bump'. The car can be repaired a lot more easily than the human body can.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Trying to currently figure out the best time to make foodie items for my hampers- truffles, biscotti, gingerbread, fudge etc. I think most can be made around a week in advance, but I celebrate Yule on the 21st rather than Christmas so I think next Monday will be a baking day.
Treated myself to a sewing machine from Argos, planned to make some stockings and cut the fabric out for the first one but not actually got round to setting up the machine and actually stitching it together yet!
And on the subject of half finished projects, I've got a scarf and a blanket to finish crocheting in under 2 weeks, eep!Overdraft- [strike]£500[/strike] PAID! Computer Loan- [strike]£292.67[/strike] PAID! Credit Card- £369.00 PCDL Loan- £6664.800 -
Mrs I, glad all ok, cars are repairable, generally(!)
Free, hope DD is on road to recovery
Chrissy, again, hope DD gets sorted
Shopping finished, will finish wrapping tonight.
Bad news, got the lurgy, good news, means I should be fighting fit for Christmas! I didn't even get a single cold last year, hope this is it for for this year.
Hope you are all getting there.A smile costs little but creates much0
