OMO so great to see you posting on here, your presence is missed! So sorry to hear about your dad, things can't be easy for you at the moment. I do hope he recovers and is out of hospital soon. How awful for your son, that happened to my husband a few years ago and it was no fun! It's horrible to work a whole month for nothing. I hope he passes his test for this new job. I'm also sorry you had to use your caravan fund, I know this doesn't help but at least you had that money there for bills etc. I will be backing you all the way in the new year for your Disneyland fund!
Feisty I bet you feel stuck between a rock and a hard place don't you? I agree that family time is more important that money, but as you say we need money and you want your business to be successful. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself, I know you hope for repeat business in the future but remember you can say no for your own sanity. I hope you can find some middle ground!
Junior sorry to hear you're going back you hospital, I hope they can help you quickly so that you can get back to enjoying Christmas! x
freespirit I bet you've been loving your cuddles with the little man! I thought of you the other day as I saw a beautiful 'Baby's 1st Christmas' bauble in John Lewis, I think it was around £4.99. Wiggle and I are doing ok, thanks for asking. I took him to an amazing baby sensory class yesterday that involved singing, dancing and playing with different textures and lights. I'm in Marlow not far from you so please let me know if your dd would like any advice or ideas on what to do with her little one.
IrishRose I do hope your mouth feels better soon, the dentist is no fun! Good luck with the nativity rehearsals.
I'm slowly getting there with my Christmas prep, I think I've got enough time to do everything but then I keep having panics that I won't get it all done! We've just bought our nephew this book, I wanted to post it on here in case any of you were looking for ideas for a little one as I think it's a great little book:

Lovely to see you omo and Freespirit baby cuddles, so jealous.
I am pretty sure everything here is done but something is niggling me that I have forgotten. Having a tidy through today and will put the "tree" up over the weekend. With the DS/Teddy combination I wouldn't even dream of anything large and unstable.
Was feeling fed up this week so I treated myself to a new pen and journal to start the new year off (cannot resist fountain pens and proper paper). It was an obscene amount of pennies and not at all mse but after the year I've had I decided stuff it, christmas is in the bag, I'm treating me.
Back to normality now, a cup of coffee before de-worming the dog.0 -

Hi everyone. Sorry I've not been posting recently. My eye has been playing up a lot for the last week or two. It twitches a lot and is driving me crazy, so I'm trying to limit my screen time. Will go to the opticians next week, although it's probably just too much time looking at screens and maybe stress too. Hugs to those who need them and I hope everyone is doing ok.
Went to the south bank Christmas market last week and wasn't that impressed. Seems smaller than previous years as it now doesn't run all along the Thames but has an area further back from the river with a cider lounge and entertainment tent.
Saw on twitter that mse have gotten a code for Truprint to get a photo mug for £3 delivered. Offer on til Monday. Got a mug done for my brother with his cats on!

Chrissy, Poor DD, hope the toes are ok and that the film made up for missing the lights - it was probably warmer lol.
Freespirit, hope you're not starting a cold - I prescribe lots of TLC, hot drinks and Christmas films!
Ruth, hope your eye is soon much better. I did the £3 mug offer too - did one for my Mum using pic of us all on her 80th birthday last week. Was going to pay with Paypal but it kept coming up at the non-reduced price so did it on my card instead.
Finally roughed up a menu for dinner on Christmas day - mix of vegetarian and non-vege. I'm useless at cooking so going for minimal cooking and going to focus on presentationIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

The order on the PC was ok, but I did one later on the laptop and that kept trying to charge me full price when paying with PayPal. Eventually got it to work, though.
Was going to ask...I'm planning on cooking a turkey joint on Christmas Eve and then slicing it up and reheating what we need on Christmas Day to save on the amount of stuff that needs to go in the oven. What would be the best way of heating it back up? Microwave? Oven? Don't want to dry it out. Please help!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
