Boo I'm so sorry my lovely. As everyone has said we are all here for you, I know it's difficult and if you want to talk about it I'm here. I'm thinking positive that it will have been caught in time and treatment will kick it's butt! Take time to process what is going on, don't feel you have to conform to Christmas or be running around for other people. Lock the door to friends and family and just concentrate on you and hubby, they mean well, but sometimes it's okay to just say you want time alone together xxx

    Hello lovelies.

Sorry I have been quiet - its been a bit of a hectic week one way or another and to top it off my lovely mum who hasn't been well for a while phoned the doctor (with me nagging) to question weather she maybe has diabetes (she had been tested in june but never got a notification of anything wrong) the doctor was apologetic as he told her apparently she should of been called in straight away in june as she does have it (then it was type 2) but now its been untreated she now has very bad symptons and now signs of type 1 diabetes which is unusual apparently - hopefully now all her tiredness and thirst , itching and stuff will clear up a bit..

My head has decided it will play up again .. its all fun and games lol.

Anyway on the Xmas front - this week I need to finalise lists , wrap more and we will decorate the house too! :) I have been listening to so many Xmas songs lol. xx

    Hugs and love to all!

I love the 3d flooring I have just seen above my post and also I would love to hear from OMO too x

Well done on the nagging front, I hope your mum manages to get it under control and that your naughty head starts behaving! xxx

    Hi all,

I made these little gingerbread houses at the weekend for my blog and I thought of you ladies on this thread!

They'd make a great xmas gift with a few in a little bag and some ribbon...

Have a look here for more details :)

HELLO!!! I'm back and finally a married women, what a wonderful feeling.

I am loving all the festivities here and the tree pics :-) Now the year of wedding planning is done i can now enjoy christmas if my health lets me.

Love and hugs to all xx

    Congrats and welcome back :)

Well Christmas is on hold in the feisty household. We've been swamped with orders (25 bespoke paper cuts in the last 7 days!) so yet again the flat looks like there's been an explosion in hobbycraft. I'm torn because it's fab that we are so busy and it will be a real boost to our business (hopefully we will have repeat custom) but it means I am getting nothing done :( I'm working full time and then trying to fill all the orders when I get in, Christmas cards have not been written (nor the list) wrapping remains untouched (I haven't even designed the personalized tags), my Yankee advent calendar although open isn't really being enjoyed and poor DH remains neglected :( I feel awful complaining about being busy, but I preach that family and memories are far more important than money and I feel I'm being a hypocrite.

    Xmas Saver!
    Hello everyone.
Thank you all so much for your messages.

Things haven't been great here. Nothing that won't get better over time but just not good at the moment.

My dad had a fall and ended up not being able to use his left leg. He had an operation last week to remove a piece of his spine.
I have been going there before and after work every day. As you can imagine it has been very tiring. I have ended up on medication as I was becoming a walking zombie.

Ds started a new job which he loved, only for the company to go under owing him over a months wages. So the caravan fund had to be used to pay the rent and bills.
He is going to take a heights test in the new year and start work at a scaffolding firm. The job is there for him in February.

We have decided to start saving again in the New Year. We are not going to get a caravan, we are going to take Fingers to Disneyland Paris.

I have not had my Christmas trip this year as I just haven't had time to fit it in, although I am off to London on Saturday to take the presents up. My step sister is going into Dad for me. We are hoping to go to the Southbank Christmas Fair in the evening beings we are only half an hour away.

I will try and post again when I get 5 minutes. I am off now to walk Mia.

Thanks again for all the messages. I hope everyone else is well.

OMO I'm so glad you posted! We've all missed you terribly xxx

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time at the moment. I often think of your DS and I'm obviously saddened that the company he was working with went under, but I'm over joyed that he's looking onto hopefully brighter things.

    Much Love xxx

Well thats all I can remember for my personals lol. Sorry guys , I do send love and hugs to all though. Popping by again to say Hello. I don't seem to get time to come on here anymore :(
Must make sure I get on over the weekend to sort that out!

Christmas is almost sorted here for us. All but 2 people's presents in. Got a load tonight in town - which may I add - was flippin mental

I called into Argos to get the Text Santa Badges which are on sale, only to be told they don't have them in and didn't even know about them:mad: Kids aren't best pleased as they wanted to wear them to school next week. Have looked online for them but I refuse to pay the silly prices for them:mad:
I have that feeling that I'll not get them again. Couldn't get them last year either.

Have had a busy week in work this week with open days and night. Next week is the nativity play so rehearsing all day for the next few days with the kiddies.

Had a visit to the dentist yesterday too :( My mouth is still sore from it :(

Hope everyone here is keeping well, thinking of those who need prayers also. I PROMISE I'll be on at some stage over the weekend.

I'm so sorry that so many of you are having tough times just when thoughts are turning festive all around you, it's not easy.
The mention of stained glass windows turned me back 15-25 years ago when I made these with my childminded children (and c 10 years ago, with adults with learning difficulties).
I used a iron as the template on black craft paper - using a yellow or white colouring pencil - as it's exactly the right shape for an arched church window.
Two windows placed together, folded, then shapes cut out and one window 'filled' with either coloured tissue paper or coloured cellophane stuck down with dabs of PVA glue (wrappers from tins of chocolates are rather good if anyone tucks in before Christmas).
    Happy days....
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
