I never put the gifts under the tree until Christmas eve as I worry about being broken into. It's the most popular time for burglars as they know there will be an easy pay load sitting in one place. My friend lost everything the week before Christmas 2 years ago so I always bear that in mind. I keep mine in the locked loft, also stops ds from sneaking a peek too
QUIDSY omg that is awful your poor friend, i would be devastated!!#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Today proved to be a very Christmassy day at work.
We did some "normal" lessons first (literacy and phonics) and then the rest of the day was given over to Christmas. 40 minutes spent making Christmas-inspired "stained glass windows" (aka tracing paper with tissue paper over the top - they are going to be framed as something the children can take home as a present). Then, over lunch time, we took our class ice skating. And, after that, the entire afternoon was dedicated to rehearsing our nativity. It is a musical, so all the lines are sung - I have so many of them stuck in my head now lol.0 -
Evening all, didn't realise my picture the other day hadn't worked, I've edited the post so it is there now!:j
FREESPIRIT I know what you mean about the shops this time of year, OH and I are going shopping later this evening and I am dreading it! Can't believe how people behave over 'things' sometimes!:eek: Even if it is a good deal!
BABY BOO I am so sorry to hear about your DH. Best wishes to both of you and I hope it's been caught in good time and is treatable.
KEVIE192 Those little houses are brilliant! I've seen them before on Pinterest, but the recipe was in German I think? So needless to say I didn't pin them any where.
I put my tree up on Monday, took me aagggggesssssss!:j It's an artificial tree, and every bl00dy branch is individual! On the plus side I am really happy with how it has turned out;
And here's one of some of the things on my mantelpiece;
I got those glittery candles in B&M last month and they've been sitting calling my name ever since!:D
I've wrapped a grand total of one present, and it has pride of place underneath the tree! Looks a bit lonely though, I'm going to have to get a few more done.
I've also been putting the decorations up in our department at work, love the beginning of December when all the different departments are getting their Christmas decorations out, we're having a hard time collectively at work just now so it was nice for everyone.
Jobo xxI'm usually using a phone, so excuse my spelling please!0 -

Hi all, just popping in to say hello! :santa2: Oooh it is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
We've started our advent calendars and I've been burning my cedar & red berry Yankee candles for the last few days and it smells lovely in here! Even DH has said how nice it smells! I'm glad to finally be using them, I actually bought them in January LAST year but was too sick to use them last Christmas (couldn't take the smell) so they're finally out.
Sorry this is a whirlwind visit, hugs to all that need them. xx0 -
