Afternoon
Well I have been on a trip to the Dentist this lunch time as I have been suffering with my back right gums, thought it might be my wisdom tooth coming through funny, well it is my wisdom tooth and it's coming through straight thankfully but there isn't enough room for it. Antibiotics and no hot drinks in the hope it goes down soon, if it keeps coming up it's got to come out
peppapig I hope you have had a good day shopping with DD and feeling better.
JJ my fingers are crossed you get the bed soon and they sort you with as little stress as possible!
freespirit what an exciting and scary momentnice to know there are some good people out there still!! Fingers crossed the last 3 1/2weeks go fast!!

- There are so many lovely ideas, i'm planning next Christmas before this one has been :rotfl:
Nibbles and wine all purchased ready for tomorrow's Christmas gift evening which is finally here. The only thing is everything looks so tasty I would like to eat it all nowhave a lasagne and leek & potato soup to make - lasagne is for OH and his mate who's fiance is selling the jewellery at the party and the soup is for people if they want something warm
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
Mum to two boys :heartpuls0 -
Ordered a half price thorntons chocolate hamper, must be strong & put it straight in the loft unopened. I get one every year, the box is great for storage & everyone gets a nice box in their gift bag. I then proceed to eat the remainder & gain 10lbsI don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Afternoon peeps
I've came home and changed into my PJ's already
But I'm tempted to get changed again after dinner and nip into town:o
It's nice and quiet on a Thursday night down there, DS needs new trainers for school so I could use that as an excuse and take him with me. Will probably mean he will be up a little later than allowed on a School night, but also means we can spend some quality time together too. Will see how I feel later on.
Will have to look again at this Pinterest thing. I'd like to join the group that has been set up for here, but I have no notion how to work the bloomin place. Let me have some practise first:o:rotfl:
OH one more thing. I've seen a few peeps talking about making their own christmas crackers. WHere are you getting the actual crackers to fill them?? I want to do the same but can't find the kits anywherePay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
JJ you are a very inspiring lady! Hope you get sorted very soon.
I was in my HB today and picked up Xmas cake tins, they are lush, smaller size was around £1.20 large £2.20. They had a folk red pattern or a traditional holly one. Also got one of those huge bags (like a laundrette bag?) with a festive pattern to do something with though I'm not sure what...
Te**o had some wrap in. I fell in love with a heavy duty beige wrap with gold glitter reindeerso got that and some plain red/gold to mix and match

In the past i've seen them in pound land, pound world, b&m and wilkos - though I haven't seen any out at all yetSpreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0 -
Peppa pig - get well soon x
JJ - fingers crossed your in & on the mend very very soon, sending hugs x
So tomorrow my little baby dd2 turns 7
Where oh where have the years gone? Always gets me, as she is my youngest, and I really wish she wouldn't grow up so damn fast!
On the plus side, the first of this years hampers will be unveiled - her coloring hamper lol.
I have an interview Monday for a midday supervisor job. I'm nneb qualified & worked as a nursery/classroom assistant for 12 years, before taking a "short" break, which turned into a career change for 8 years!
I am now desperate to get back into childcare, and this would be a foot in the door (whilst allowing me to continue my other part time self employed venture for a while) and I'm sooooo nervous!
Dh thinks I will walk it, I'm afraid they will say I'm over qualified ... So much worry for 5 hours a week ha ha xIt's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

I'm absolutley shattered, I've been doing extra hours in work this week and it;s taken it out of me:eek: I'm beginning to think I'm a teacher instead of a classroom assistant:eek: In from 7.30 in the morning and not leaving till 5pm this past 2 days:(
springdreams I haven't used any double sided tape on mine this year........ well that may change depending how this lot survive the next 8 weeks :rotfl: I may need to fix them come closer to the time again.
I have just used Pritt stick for my eyes and nose on them. Scooped a lump onto each eye and plonked it on there. I'll let you know if they survive:rotfl:
I'm not doing anything else tonight, kids are in bed so I think I'll head to bed myself soon. 2 more sleeps till Friday:j
I shall keep an eye out for your report back on the success or otherwise of the Pritt
I do have a glue gun which lays unopened and is in with the rest of my crafty bits - might have to use that if the Pritt stick experiment does not work, but I shall keep my fingers crossed for you that it does.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
