IrishRose12 - What better way is there to get pinterest practice than Christmas
his missus - I really miss BHS, used to walk through the Leeds one most days (when I was being lazy and getting train to uni), ours in Worcester turned into Primark several years ago... not that I'm complaining about that they redid the aircon/heating system so I can actually go in there now, when it was BHS whatever system they had I used to get nose bleeds within mins of being in there
newthrift - I think I missed you telling us about the Christmas Gift Evening, sounds very exciting!!
pinknfluffy28 - Good luck with the interview!
I am so insanely tired today. I need to sleep for a week, and soon... xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

JJ - fingers crossed your in & on the mend very very soon, sending hugs x
So tomorrow my little baby dd2 turns 7
Where oh where have the years gone? Always gets me, as she is my youngest, and I really wish she wouldn't grow up so damn fast!
On the plus side, the first of this years hampers will be unveiled - her coloring hamper lol.
I have an interview Monday for a midday supervisor job. I'm nneb qualified & worked as a nursery/classroom assistant for 12 years, before taking a "short" break, which turned into a career change for 8 years!
I am now desperate to get back into childcare, and this would be a foot in the door (whilst allowing me to continue my other part time self employed venture for a while) and I'm sooooo nervous!
Dh thinks I will walk it, I'm afraid they will say I'm over qualified ... So much worry for 5 hours a week ha ha x
Good luck - I'm sure you will do great.
JJ - I hope an open bed comes up for you soon and that anything that is done goes well.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

For those looking for make your own crackers - John Lewis do them http://m.johnlewis.com/mt/www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-croft-collection-fill-your-own-joy-christmas-crackers-set-of-6/p1421572?un_jtt_v_pdp=yes&un_jtt_v_from_product=un_product_16#page_loaded
We've had them a few times in the past - they are fun. As a idea to fill for men you can get mini sizes of cologne in sample kits or sometimes single in Superdrug or Boots sometimes.
In Wilko last week, there was a section next to the Christmas wrap - that was meant to be a 'fill your own cracker section' but the actual crackers had either sold out or not out yet. The space for them was empty. They had things to fill it like little bells but I thought they were a bit silly. Much nicer to get a lip balm or somesuch small slim gift. Or you could also put a £5 note or cheque folded up if you couldn't think of anything! Or a choc coin or mini Santa. I think that is much nicer than some plastic thing you usually get.
One of my local card shops is great - every card 50p and you get some great ones - recently they had cards from a brand that JL sell for £3+! They also stock other stuff. Today I got a gorgeous 3d advent calendar for my little nephew for £1! I'd seen the same one on eBay for £3-4! All other places I'd looked they about £6! Last week I got in there some Xmas themed food gift boxes (cupcake/ cookie) with window. 4 for £1! Really pretty designs too. Anker international brand. I didn't get them but they had some Christmas activity packs (kids colouring etc) for a quid and letter to Santa pack too which was cute. Also £1!0 -

Just to let you know the marvel advent calendar is £2 in Matalan, it doesn't come with the keyring though. I found it hiding behind other themed advent calendars0 -
I've just had a think about make your own cracker filling ideas - superdrug minion soap on a rope, mini nail files (emery boards) / 'crystal' nail file from savers, hair clips mini type 6 in a pack claw style or 1 or 2 long & thin type push type or slides, mini hand sanitizer, mini eyeliner, single eyeshadow, mini padlock for suitcase, something from travel minis section/ hand cream/ body lotion/ shower gel, Ted baker mini body spray, foot cream, nail clipper, fancy tweezers, mini nail scissors, lip balm, mini nail polish, chewing gum pack, mini mints, love hearts minis - they have some 1D ones in Lidl, mini sweeties pack or choc Santa etc, choc coins, after dinner mint, single choc truffle (wrapped), mini cologne/ perfume, travalo perfume atomiser (£5 Amazon), lottery scratch card, tiny hairbrush, tiny comb, foldable reusable shopping bag, mini pack of cards, Liz Earle cleanse & polish mini with muslin cloth, mini makeup brush, bracelet, necklace, earrings.
