Just to let you know the marvel advent calendar is £2 in Matalan, it doesn't come with the keyring though. I found it hiding behind other themed advent calendars

Got the make your own crackers last night in Poundland:rotfl: After looking everywhere for them for the past 2 years walked in and there they were:T

  • Quidsy- thanks for the info on cellophane bags. I've added them to my watch list.

Pixtotts- I have sent you a PM to be added to the Pinterest board.

I am now officially overdue and incredibly bored... So I'm off to wrap some presents, write some cards and practice my snowman soup. How do I add a picture here?

    February GC £26.68/£250

  • Really happy today, in June or so Amazon had book and plush gift sets of the Snowman and the Snowdog for £5, probably a misprint but I got an order in. Kept getting emails off them apologising they didn't have the stock and if I wanted to cancel go ahead blah blah.

I kept it on as I had nowt to lose, and now I have an email telling me it's going to be delivered next week :j

So another bargain gift for OH, it's part of our Xmas tradition to watch this and he loves the doggy (not ashamed!) I also picked up a little Snowman plushie cheap in Tesco earlier in the year so we'll have a matching set :D

I looked it my local poundland but they didn't have any of them at the time. I wish I had paid £1 for it! My poundland never seems to have what items other people have seen in their locals grrrr lol
  • Hi all, read this thread a lot but probs haven't posted since last year.
Was hoping you might be able to help me, we had an elf at ours for the first time last year and my dd's have started talking about it and wondering if she'll come back. During this conversation dd2 commented that shed like a book with all the elves in and their names, do you have any idea if such a thing exists?
If not I thought maybe our elf could arrive with a scrap book to remind her of home with pics of her friends and family in and messages from them, we only have one elf so was wondering if any of you with elves would mind emailing me a pic of them and their name so I can print them out and make up a book.
    Thanks Kelly

Of course :) this should take you there > http://www.pinterest.com/SimplyCharB/elfilicious/

nitnurse-not2 I think they send you an email, but also if you log into pinterest and look top right the speech bubble thing should have gone red and it should be in there too... I've just added you again for good measure :)

Though having said that if anyone has sent me their email address and not received an invite tell me because my internet can be appalling so sometimes it doesn't go through first try :(

Those talking about making crackers I saw something somewhere... could have been hobbycraft book/website, could have been pinterest... not sure... but they put sequins in the crackers too! I thought that was an awesome idea, nightmare to tidy but got to love sparkles :D

B I G news.... I just sold my first item on etsy!!
It's only bunting made from vintage maps so I'm not exactly making my millions just yet, but eek! exciting!! :)

Also just picked up a Boots Chirstmas gift guide, spotted them through the door so nipped in for 2 :)
Got a reusable bag from Primark, "Owl I want for Christmas...." with a pickte of the cutest owl in a Christmas hat on one side and little owls and christmass puddings on the other :D

I'm so happy I FOUND OUR ELVES!!!:j:j:j remember I told you all I lost them in the house move 2 years ago? I was sitting this morning thinking, if I were to hide them now, where would it be. They were in a bottom drawer right at the back of the wardrobe. Inside an empty cushion cover, which looked like a stuffed cushion! We turned this house upside down last year looking for them. My oh ended up getting the wee 99p one from The Card factory. He is cute but my kids missed their elves that had been coming for years. I will donate our wee elf to my sister and she can start the tradition with my 18 month old nephew:D

I'm just getting organised for our week in Skegness. It's a £49 bargain Sun holiday we booked way back in Jan. I didn't think we could afford to go, but we all need a holiday. Looking forward to using the pool and entertainment that is included.

Well done on your sale Pixitotts. It's a start. I started 3 years ago selling small decorations on fb. Now for the last 2 years I have been inundated with orders for Christmas signs and other door plaques etc. it pays for the kids pressies each year. Keep at it x

Thanks for all the cracker ideas too. I found a cracker making kit I got free with a craft magazine last year. I had even bought the snaps, but never got round to making them. This year I will def do it.
